Solid State Drive: An nvme ssd suddenly became unstable out of nowher

-Device: Dell Latitude E5470

-Drive: Kingmax PQ3480 512GB (72% health left and 0 Media Integrity Errors)

So I was recently playing a decently light game that requires not so much writes for the ssd then out of nowhere a YSOD(Yellow Screen of Death) flashed my screen for a sec then my laptop rebooted.
After that,it showed "No boot device found" as I remembered, it also disappeared in the UEFI/BIOS .I have to re-seat / do a cold boot in order for it to show up again tho I cant log in Window at that moment (I can sometime access the lock screen until a few secs later , a BSOD with the error code WHEA... happened . Same goes with Safe mode).
However,I can still access the drive through a rescue usb(WinPE boot environment) and do light tasks on it.But the moment I start doing some loads on it like testing its speed using Victoria , it disappeared in the eyes of WinPE.It finds it again after a restart.
I thought it might be something with the heat so I directly blowed my fan into it and it was able to boot into Safe mode and even Window,I even successfully ran a chkdsk and it found no problems.(Note that the ssd ran perfectly fine even under loads before the incident)
Sadly my laptop didnt have a built-in heatsink for the ssd and Im running on a budget rn so I cant buy a new ssd.I have backed up my files to be prepared for the worst.

(the ssd still cant log into Window without a direct fan blowing at its face,I also noticed that the ssd is quite hot after some (2) failed boots and WinRE. The power chip might be leaking? idk)

Im a student and I really need this ssd.Hope someone out there could help me with this:P

Hard Drive: usbc sata adapter recommendation

Hello, I have a bad drive enclosure and I want to use R Studio to recover the data off the drives. The caveat is that I have a macbook m1 max laptop and need to find a reliable adapter to get the data recovered. Im open to either an adapter, docking station, or enclosure, but it needs to connect a 3.5" Sata drive to usb-c. This will take 24 hr + so I definitely need a super reliable one. My data is not backed up and this is my only chance to retrieve it. The drive has no bad sectors, but the proprietary RAID software malfunctioned making the drive not readable in a normal capacity. I tried the OYEN HDX PRO C ENCLOSURE. Both arrived DOA

Storage: How to service/replace loud fan on a G-Technology G-Speed Studio drive

For a little over a decade, I have been using two G-Technology G-Speed Studio (thunderbolt 2) drives (16Tb) and these things are great even after all these years, however the fan has grown substantially louder, to the point I am constantly checking when it might die.

The fan it uses is an 80mm (measured), and I imagine it must be pwm based on its normal operation, but that's partially the reason I want to check it out.

I clean it every 3 months to keep the drives from overheating due to dust, and to extend the life of it, but there is so much abuse the poor fan will take with this thing constantly on.

I can't seem to find any tear down guide, and I would be saddened chucking it in the rubbish bin once something like the fan dies.

Has anyone had experience maintaining these devices? I would like to open it and perhaps change the fan (if possible). I have changed the disks once, and it feels this should be serviceable somehow.

External Storage: Urgent Support Needed: SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD Not Detectable

Dear Support Team,

I am writing to request assistance with my SanDisk Extreme Portable SSD, which has become undetectable after I attempted to use it with my iPhone 15 Pro Max.

After connecting the SSD to the iPhone via a compatible cable, the drive has stopped being recognized by any device. I have also tried accessing the SSD using a different enclosure (ASUS), but it still does not work. This leads me to believe there may be some form of restriction or firmware lock implemented on factory-fitted SanDisk SSDs, preventing usage with third-party enclosures or after certain connection types.

I have attempted recovery using the SanDisk recovery software, but unfortunately, it was unsuccessful.

Could you please advise on the following:

Is there a firmware lock or compatibility restriction that may have been triggered?

Can the SSD be reset, repaired, or restored to factory settings?

If not, is there a service center where I can send the SSD for repair or data recovery?

I would appreciate your urgent support in resolving this issue as there is important data on the drive.

Looking forward to your guidance.

Anyone knows the order for the pins in this device? This is an OWC - External firewire DVD drive. I want to know the correct order for the cable for this device.

Should be like this?

At the leff side all the pins should be 5V.

At the right side the pins at 1Pm, 3pm are the ground/RTN and the at 5pm should be at 12v.

I appreciate for any tips or ideas.
