Steam Controller: My right bumper isn't working

I was playing a game and was pressing and holding this button a lot. Suddenly, it stopped working. I ran the diagnose on Big Picture mode and when I pressed it really hard it was detected, which led me to believe the problem was with the button piece and not the “sensor”. I haven’t tried opening it yet. How can I fix it?

Steam Controller: Repair guide for back paddle switches?

I have two steam controllers. One from launch and one from the factory shutting down. Both have issues with the right back paddle switch. You have to press down REALLY hard to get it to register. I love to use that paddle for "jump" so it wears out pretty quickly. Is there any way to fix it? New steam controllers are like $200 apiece. :(

Steam Controller: Repair or replace the back cover

So this is pretty incredible. After years of using the Steam Controller regularly, the two top pieces of the back cover finally snapped off, like baby teeth. One of the pieces even ended up inside the controller!

I'm not sure there's any chance I can repair this cover considering this is molded plastic, but is it possible to replace the back cover? As is, the back cover does not sit nicely in the controller. Only the spring-loaded lever at the bottom is holding it in. While it can still cover the batteries, it's very difficult to press the grip buttons with this grip as is without some reinforcement to hold the top of the grip to the back of the controller.

Steam Controller: Right Bumper Not Working Anymore: Plastic Piece on Trigger Mount Broke

After about 8 years using the Steam Controller, the right bumper stopped working. It no longer clicks audibly when pressed, even feels that it's floating over the button when fully assembled. I took it apart and found this piece broken off.

That rectangular flange in the red box in the photo needs to be attached to the trigger assembly, but that one narrow path is a point of failure. I don't think I can expect to glue it back on and have it working perfectly fine again. Can I get some advice on finding the part I need to replace this? If it's a 3D print, can I print only part of the base that I need, or do I need a whole new trigger mount assembly, and then move the trigger, spring and bolt there?

I am using a pair of Eneloop pro rechargable NiMH batteries and they can't be pushed out by the lever triggers; it's stuck very hard (can't be rotated while partially dislodged but can be put back into the battery slot) and I'm afraid of damaging the contacts if I pry it.

I will need to put a tape or a piece of ribbons next time as a back up plan to pull it out from the case.

For now can the batteries be safely removed with just unscrewing the plastic cover?
