Speed Queen Dryer: Is my dryer damaged?

A king size pillow got lodged during the drying cycle. When I opened the door after 15 minutes on regular heat, the pillow was lodged against the back side, covering the vent. There was no smelll of smoke, but two small dark spots on the vent cover as well as a plastic "film" (from the pillow?). Now I'm afraid to use my dryer. My dryer is a 10 year old top loading Speed Queen. Please help!
