my question: i'm unsure if replacing the HP socket is the solution. Do Speakers and Headphone plug share the same Amp (-Chip)?
I have connected it to a Mixing desk via XLR Adapters - probably Phantom Power (?) has damaged it? ( a collegues Phone, also connected there, is still ok)

Hello, I had an xperia z5 that i dropped and the screen shattered. I think some water got in because no one seems to be able to fix it. I bought a new phone (huawei), my question is if it’s possible to transfer the backup of the Z5 that i have on my pc to the new phone.. I can’t seem to find any way of doing that, i’ve lost all my contacts/files and so on, so any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi,

I have no service on my Xperia Z5 for 2 days now. I tried the following:

*#*#4636*#*# and change to GSM only, switch on and off Mobile radio power and restart the phone as I found in a popular tutorial. It does not work.

I tried to uninstall all the new apps I had installed in those 2 days and it does not work either.

My phone is back in WCDMA preferred now but I still have no service.

I restarted it a dozen times without it changing anything.

Can someone advise something?

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact: I put wrong magnetic USB cable and now the phone is dead.

I had two different magnetic USB-cables and I accidentally used the wrong one. They fit together, but pins were in different order. I think the voltage supply burnt something in the data circuit. Do anyone know something about those things?

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact: How do you replace the gasket on the flash and camera?

I'm planning to transfer the gasket from the original cover to the replacement back cover that I bought. For some reason, the replacement doesn't come with it.

And the glass cover on the camera section has a hairline crack

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact: Gyro, accelerometer & compass stopped working, how can I fix them?

Hi! I have a Z5 compact with the following issues:

• gyroscope not working

• accelerometer not working

• sim reader not working (with the sim inserted it does not get recognised)

• compass not working (tested through G Maps & GPS Test)

Regarding the sim reader, although complicated and risky, it can be replaced, but when it comes to all the other problems I can’t think of any decent solution.

Do you have any idea about where on the motherboard & what type exactly are the chips responsible for the gyro, accelerometer and compass?

P.S. Buying a new motherboard or another phone is not an option. As I cannot benefit from the warranty of the phone due to the strict location conditions enforced by Sony’s Customer Support program I am looking forward towards improving my soldering skills with this (once) wonderful piece of technology :D

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact: Why is my phone not restarting

after charging z5 alarm indicated completed. Phone was turned off and cannot restart.

Tried all Sony help descriptors ,10 sec power off, 120sec power off, connect to Sony Companion. Nothing helps. Phone is not picked up with the Companion software.

Looked at You Tube no help. Checked battery voltage after charging sitting at 4.09 Volts, This is well above critical min. voltage. Disconnected battery from motherboard, slight more voltage in battery.Reconnected battery, still unable to restart.

powered via USB connector no restart, NO power indicator.

Sony Xperia Z5 Compact: Black screen once booted

Hi everyone,

After a short visit into a swimming pool, my Z5 Compact had difficulties running (what a waterproof smartphone ...). I dismantled it, removed the water in it and let it dry. I reassambled it but I still have a problem.

When I power it on, the loading screen appears (Sony then Android) but when it's on the screen goes off. Sometimes I can see the lock screen for a few seconds, sometimes I don't. What annoys me is that the phone vibrates when I put my finger on the fingerprint reader, the same way it would vibrate when you try to unlock it as it it would be running fine.

Does someone have something in mind ?

Hello there, repair technicians .

So i got an issue and i don't know how to solve this.

so i repaired my xperia z5 compact and i think i lost the Protective Bar, that keeps the power button on hes place.

so now when i use my xperia the power button goes into the mobile case.

tried thing like a little bit paper between it or something like that but that didn't work.

so now my question is how can i solve this or where can i buy the protective bar.
