Sony Xperia Z3 Compact: Replace Stock Battery With Better one

Hello.

The battery capacity of z3 compact is not so good, compared to these days phones, of course it was good back then when released.

I'm wondering if it's possible that I can replace the battery with another (more capacity) one? Maybe from another phone… is it possible?

If the dimensions fit and I could make it to connect to the board, will it work as expected a without harming the board?

What may happen?

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact: Why is my screen unresponsive and clicking everything?

My phone's screen is unresponsive at the top and bottom, forcing me to turn on glove mode to use the buttons.

The lower half of my screen has recently started to randomly click things that I don't l want it to, which obviously makes it nearly impossible to type.

I've tried cleaning the screen, as there is no major damage to it (a few light scratches), but to no avail.

Any ideas? I really don't want to get a new phone, as my family is in kind of a bad spot for money at the moment.

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact: WiFi antenna loaction (poor signal)

Hi guys!

Recently I had shattered screen in my xperia z3 compact so i bought screen with so called midframe and replaced it. That screen was used but in marvellous condition. Now i have a little problem. Accidently i broke the outer frame (if you know what i mean) in one place. And once i started the phone, the wifi signal was quite poor - on my desk another phone has full wifi signal, but xperia just half. On another forum i've read that there is wifi antenna in frame that i've broken. Is that true? Or the only antenna is that one on the motherboard? That thing happens no matter what OS is installed.

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact: Device don't turn on and don't vibrate

Hi all,

I tried to replace the screen of my smartphone as the touchscreen didn't work.

Sadly, after replacing the screen, the phone doesn't turn on anymore neither vibrate... :/

I tried to charge it but doesn't change anything, the red led turn on for a couple of minutes then goes off... The battery doesn't seem to get warm either...

After few attempts, I even broken the "bridge" for the magnetic charge... (please see the red circle on the picture below)

Any idea if this is what prevents the phone to turn on ?

If the screen doesn't work, would the phone be able to turn on ?

Additionaly, when plugging the phone to my computer, the computer says "unrecognised device" (which wasn't the case previously).

Many thanks

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact: Digitizer ghosting every attached to LCD

I'm frustrated with the sony digitizer problem. Currently I'm replacing the sony Z3 compact and C4 touchscreen. Which makes me frustrated. Each touchscreen attaches to the lcd. Touchscreen is always ghost touch. And if it does not attached to the lcd, it goes well. then iam trying to bonding with loca and i hope loca is non conductive liquid that prevent grounding between printed conductive on digitzer and lcd.

but it same.. touchscreen goes crazy, and also there some dead spot. i have twice purchased digitizer on both device but it come with same problem.

Has anyone ever experienced it? What kind of solutions are needed? And is this just because the digitizer does have poor quality?

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact: Post repair the phone is non-responsive & why is battery burning hot?

After replacing the midframe and lcd, I tried to test the lcd before I glued it to the frame. It vibrated once (as it normally does on startup) and I saw the backlight turn on for a second. I believe that I must have bumped the screens flex cable while testing the screen.

Now the screen wont turn on, but the battery is burning extremely hot. The charge light does not come on once plugged into the wall and computer. I have tried all of the typical reset combinations such as the yellow button near the sim card and holding down the power and volume buttons.

I do not understand why the battery is burning up, nor why it isn't powering up at all.

Any ideas or help will be much appreciated.

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact: Screen replaced, no image/backlight.

Hi I need some help.

My screen cracked so I decided to replace it. The screen partially worked on the top half, but the bottom half was cracked. I have fixed other phones such as the LG G2 and LG G3, but never a Sony. I followed the instructions in this video.

Sony Xperia Z3 Compact LCD Screen Replacement

I test-fitted my screen before installing the adhesive and when I turned the phone on the screen doesn't light up whatsoever. So I unplugged the new screen and plugged in my old cracked one, that one didn't light up either. I can hear the phone working for example when I push the power button I get a long vibrating noise (startup vibration). I also tried the "Sony sudden death fix" holding the power button and volume up button, I get three vibrations, but nothing happens. I tried plugging it into the wal and the light turns red (top left). I tried unplugging the battery and replugging it back up to see if that did anything, didn't help. I'm at a loss as to why it's not working. Does anyone have a solution? Maybe I accidentally disconnected something?

Anyone have any advice?

edit: I hooked up my old screen and then re-installed the rear frame. Now when I click on the screen I can hear noises. What I'm clicking is the different language options on the start-up screen after a factory reset. I know this because before I attempted the repair that's the screen it was on.

I tried this with the new screen as well and the same thing happens, I can hear the click and vibration noises when touching the screen but I don't have an image on the screen.

I was reading that maybe it has something to do with jumping a resistor? Does anyone know anything about that?
