Sony Xperia Z3: Need Fix for Xperia Z3 Cracked Back Cover

I bought Xperia Z3 2 weeks back. My Back cover got cracked. But the Camera Lens & Display are in Intact.

While contacting Sony Service center, they are asking for 50% of Phone cost for replacement.

I need your help guys. Is there any fixes for back cover replacement.

and my contact in my sim card still can be viewed.

What have gone wrong, and what should I do?

Sony Xperia Z3: Glue is losing grip after LCD repair

Hello everybody.

I've got a small repair shop in Germany and most of the time I fix iPhones and Samsungs.

But lately a lot of customers show up with Sony Xperia Z3's with broken Glass and / or Touchscreen / Digitizer.

To change a LCD-Unit or a Digitizer isn't a problem for me.

I order a brand-new LCD-Unit or Digitizer along with the adhesive tape (already cut out in the right dimensions) off a wholesaler, clean the frame with 99% alcohol and Q-tips or microfibre cloth and install the new screen onto the frame.

And here is the Problem:

The adhesive tape is getting loose after a few days.

Especially on one of the corners at the top of the device.

I never experienced this issue on Samsung LCDs or any other devices except Sony Xperia devices.

I tried to solve this problem by using adhesive tape off a roll (3M) instead using the cut out adhesive tape, but the problem is still appearing from time to time.

Did somebody of you had same issues with this stupid adhesive tapes (cut out or not) and found a way to glue the glass to the frame of Xperia devices?

Like is there some kind of adhesive that is strong enough to hold the glass and frame together?

Sony Xperia Z3: Flash and Front/Back Camera not working

I have a Sony Xperia Z3 here and after a screen replacement the front and back camera no longer work as well as the flash. When I plug the rear camera in the phone overheats a lot! Any ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated! Thanks!

Hello and thanks for replying me . My sony xperia z3 d6603 just fell and the screen is cracked , the display is here at 100% , the power button , volume up/down and the camera button works . but there is no touch.. as i can see on other devices , even when the screen is cracked , the touch still works but on mine it is not the case at all. If you could tell me what to change such as digitizer or lcd or any other thing please . thanks in advance.

Sony Xperia Z3: Xperia z3 : Unfortunately camera has stopped

After replacing my z3 screen , back camera front camera and flash not working anymore.. Also flashlight toggle disappeared from home screen .. I think problem is related to flashlight . When I connect my back camera the phone heats up and battery drains by 1 % every 2 minutes ..But when back camera is removed battery drains by 1 % every 2 hours ..

I tried every thing from factory reset , repairing through sony pc companion , tried other camera apps , changed camera sensor etc .. I came into point there is some short near camera or problem is due to flash (As flash light is also not working and flash toggle has disappeard from home screen .

Also please note on diagonistic front camera shows up but back camera doesnot shows up .. In camera app when clicked I get a message " Unfortunated camera has stopped " .

Can anyone genious help me find the solution ?

Hi, i have a Sony Xperia z3 and the WiFi and Bluetooth is not working. Im trying to turn it on but nothing happens. I already changer the antenna, made a factory reset and same issue. The 3G/4G, mobile data, works fine. Can you help ? Thank you in advance

Sony Xperia Z3: SIM and signal problem

After screen replacement with frame phone works fine, BUT when i insert SIM it doesnt recognize it...it takes few minutes to ask for PIN.

After i enter PIN there is no service and no signal...i cant even turn off 4G etc.

I tried to put back old screen with frame, that has broken touchscreen but problem still there. i changed antena cable, and every other part inside.

SIM reader looks fine.

i tried factory reset, and software repair with xperia companion

Sony Xperia Z3: No network service, sim card is recognized

Hi,

I have got the problem that my SIM-Card slot was broken, but was repaired successfully. At least the SIM-Card is recognized by the phone and I have to enter the pin.

The problem now is that I don't get any service from my carrier. WLAN still works.

Does anyone have an idea which part might be broken?

Sony Xperia Z3: Changed screen - now the mic's not working on calls

I'm fixing my friend's phone. I changed the broken screen, and for that I had to remove some connections and parts related to the mic. Now the phone works well otherwise, and even the mic works while using video camera, video calls and such, but on normal calls it's completely mute.

Now there's few questions that pop in my head. Like, is there two mics, one for video calls, and one for normal calls? If yes, then the other mic could either be broken or not connected. Or which connections inside the phone are for the mic/mics specifically, so I could check them out.

I don't know if this has anything to do with my problem, but it would seem, that while I glued in the new screen, I forgot to remove a cover plastic from the other side. As far as I can guess, it only affects the cooling properties a bit. But there was plastic in the mic hole, and I removed it. Didn't work though.

So if you guys have any suggestions, please shoot. Thanks.

Hey, my xperia z3 doesnt charge anymore. Only the red light is flashing. It has been connected for 10 hours now and i still cant turn it on. What could i do?

Sony Xperia Z3: Can I reuse undamaged back cover?

So essentially I got a Z3 for pretty cheap (200 Euro) however the camera lens is full of dirt which makes the photos come out kind of bad. I was wondering if I could remove the back cover, clean the lens and use new back cover adhesive but keep the same glass cover?

Sony Xperia Z3: Microphone does not pick up sound

Xperia z3 d6603 model. The microphone doesn't work. Performing the diagnostic tests the primary microphone feedback is silent & the secondary microphone sounds like the voice is far away. Sent to Sony for warranty repair & they said "tampered with by customer", meaning the phone was previously opened by the prior owner (thanks Mac)

I have my Xperia Z3 D6653 and i accidentally damaged a piece of component. And i read the schematic diagram of this phone the part number is FL7003 i thinks its filter on the display. So my question is where can i get one this piece of component or where can i buy this piece. Can i use jumper for this. What is the value of this piece/ component. Hope someone can help me i trying to solved this problem but no luck.
