When I press the power button, the unit sometimes can be turned on, sometimes not.

Recently, it is totally dead. Even I have a fully charged battery or connecting to a USB cable, the unit has no response to the power button.

No red light when I charge the unit as well, i.e. the unit won't charge.

Sony Xperia Arc S: when I switch on the mobile it is continuosly restarting

when i switch on the mobile it displays SONY then XPERIA and then shows the screen and immediately restarts with SONY and then goes on. Can i find any solution for the mentioned problem

Hello!

Attached is a picture of the Sony Arc. Where I am pointing there is a short at this capacitor. (Bare with me if I say anything wrong, just started learning how to fault find)

Phone is not showing any amp reading. Checked the charging port readings and it seems to be connecting to where it should be. This faulty capacitor seems to be on the same line as the charging port.

What would you do from this point? What should I do with this capacitor? Should I change this or the charging ic?

Thank you. Any answers will help :) Just to note, there is no water damage and the battery is new

the phone is dead but if I connect the phone with charger with a battery installed , I can not see any sign

but if I removed the battery , the phone starts until the loge of the Sony then the phone is off , then it starts again

My arc stopped recognizing SD cards anymore and damages them! i tried different cards with differnet classes.
