Lost the two screws holding my battery in. Your site says they are 11mm. I assume that is the length. What is the diameter and pitch?

Problem: Wifi card inexplicably disabled, unable to enable wifi from windows settings

Solution: Make sure the wifi is turned on/enabled in the “VAIO Easy Connect” setting (green box with arrows) in the taskbar, do not uninstall the software, it creates new problems and Sony no longer hosts the software to reinstall.

Longer story: Wifi intermittently stopped working and eventually stopped working all together (made me think there was something physically wrong with the wifi card). Windows would indicate that the wifi was turned off, but there is no physical switch on this machine. If you went into the wifi settings to turn it on, it may indicate that it is turned back on, but if you closed it and went back in it would be off. I actually ended up buying and using an external plug in usb wifi for about a year now… just found out it’s some bs software that came with machine that got some random update that caused it to override the windows software. Thought I’d post the solution here since I couldn’t find it posted.

Sony Vaio SVT151A11L: replaced my SONY VAIO SVT151A11L 's battery and it did not power on

Good moning community, just replaced my SONY VAIO SVT151A11L 's battery https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01L8G... and it seems to be starting to charge and it reached up to 21%, then it kept in this % forever. I shut it down and pressed the power button and it did not power on. Kept the power on button for a minute and so on & it did not work either, I removed the new battery and put it back and it did not power on. The battery blinking light indicator of the laptop appears functional as if the new battery were charging when connected with the AC adapter and still it did not work when I pressed the power on the button once again, Finally I put the old faulty battery back and my laptop works with the AC adapter connected permanently. Any suggestion on a fix. I doubt the battery spare is faulty :(

So I acquired this laptop, which apparently wasn't booting. I've tried seemingly every part removal configuration, yet it does not want to post. I've tried leaving it there for up to 30 minutes along with some battery off button stuff. It seems as if the laptop is done for. But, I reapplied the thermal paste and it stayed on for much longer, yet failed to function. What else can I do?
