Sony Vaio SVE111B11L: My laptop keeps shutting down unprompted?

My laptop, a Sony VAIO E Series 15 SVE15122CXP

(they don’t have it listed under Sony so I chose a random one.) keeps “clicking” off? Completely shutting down as if the power went out or something. Though the battery is fully charged and the charger is plugged in properly. It will turn on when I push the power button, load up, let me log in, bring up the home screen and I’ll maybe get a page on google loaded up before it clicks off once again. I’m not entirely sure what year it is, anywhere between 2010 to 2013 is when we got it.

i removed the cmos battery from the mother board after fixing it back, when i tried to on it, i discovered that the system is no longer dictating the hard drive, so in this case, what do i do?

Hello, a friend gave me his dead laptop to try and fix, I don’t know how it died.

when I press the power button the lights turn on, fan spins for an instant, hard drive tries to start, then everything shuts down and after a few seconds does the same thing over and over.

I’ve tried the reset method removing battery and power and pressing power button for awhile before putting AC back on and nothing.

I try replacing the ram and nothing.

then i realised that if i press power without the ram installed the lights stay on i get fan spin and HDD starts with no problems but there is no image and off course no boot.

Anybody knows what the problem might be?

Sony Vaio SVE111B11L: Laptop no screen + turns off after dozens of seconds

My Sony Vaio laptop displays nothing and shuts down itself after ~20 seconds.

I reseated the RAM, the CMOS and cleaned the fan nothing helps. I connected an external monitor through VGA and tried the Fn + F7 combination i get no screen. Yesterday I heard the Windows loading sound so i think it’s not a problem of Processor, RAM or HDD but something else. I also have attempted with and without battery and HDD and kept the vacuum cleaner near the cooler exit but it seems there is no overheating issue.

Do you have any idea?
