Sony Vaio P: How much money would it cost to have this fixed? Is it worth it?

The fan needed cleaning, and so I took it apart to clean it, and it really did need cleaning, but I eventually got it. The only problem is that now it won’t turn on at all. I must have put something back in wrong, but I don’t know what. The battery light won’t turn on, the laptop won’t turn on, and it won’t do anything at all. It’s not the biggest deal if it’s broken for good, but I do like it, and it’s my secondary computer. My question is weather this is something easy to fix (if someone knows what it most likely is), or how much it would cost to have it checked out and possibly repaired. Would that be worth the time and effort? Or should I just replace it?

Sony Vaio P: Update CPU from Z530 (1.6GHz) to Z550 (2GHz)

I'd like to revive an old (but in perfect status) VAIO P VGN-P19VN, that sported an Atom Z530 with 2GB RAM and a 128GB SSD.

Some years ago I paied the machine somewhat like 1500$ and just some months later the iPad (that I immediately bought) destroyed its market.

Nonetheless it's still a perfect portable machine, updated to Win10. It's main problem is that... it's terribly slow.

And probably it would be possible to update its CPU to a 2GHz one, squeezing about 30% more power.

Has anybody tried it, like in this post?

http://www.pocketables.com/forum/showthr...

Would it be possible, without soldering?

Thanks, best

Gianluca
