Sony Tablet S: Does anyone have any instructions on how to replace the screen and LCD

This is a Sony Tablet S SGPT111GB/S. There seems to be a bubble of air between the glass screen and the LCD or it is a separation of the adhesive between them. I have located a replacement unit but there are no fitting instructions. Can get as far as the battery removal with existing Ifixit guides but after that I’ll be guessing, not a good way forward. Can anyone help? Photo attached showing screen problem, anyone else had this issue?

Sony Tablet S: Is there a way to update the version of Android?

I have checked for software updates, and system is up to date. From the little knowledge I have a online research it seems many apps want Android version 4.1 or newer and this tablet has 4.0.3 (release5a). Is there a way to get a more up to date version so more apps can be supported? Many apps in the store say they arent supported by version.

Trying to get this old tablet going for my grandma to use, it's been sitting a while but still works! It is a Sony tablet Model SGPT111US/S

Any suggestions?

Sony Tablet S: WIFI does not work

Hi,

I can't connect to the wifi at home, it detects the signal but it does not connect to it. It thought it was my wifi's home, but at work it happens the same. I also went to another person's house and the wifi does not work.

I put the password again, disconnect and connect the wifi, but nothing happened.

Sony Tablet S: Tablet not recognizing charger adapter

My tablet is no longer recognizing the factory charger. I keep getting a message that the adapter is incompatible. This is happening with both the charger directly and when I use the cradle. If it weren't recognizing the docking station it would be dead.

I've had the tablet for two years in December but it has been in use pretty much 24/7 for that amount of time since it also serves as my alarm clock.

I suspect that the charging port may be wearing out as the port insert for the cradle was put in each night and the charging cable at some point most days. I don't see anything on your site for repairing this. The battery condition reads good when I check the status in settings.

Do you think my analysis is incorrect.

Sony Tablet S: I need same help

My Sony Xperia S SGPT121 is stuck on the blue flame. When I power it on it shows the Sony Screen, then the Xperia Screen, than the blue flame running from left to right... and this continues for hours. I can force a shut-down by pressing the power button for 10 seconds.

I tried the factory reset (Volume-up + Power-on, release Power-on at Sony Screen) but it is not going to the setup screen. It has no effect at all - simply going from Sony Screen to Xperia Screen to blue flame....
