Sony PRS-500: Why won't my e reader connect?

When I connect my e reader 500 to my computer I am met with nothing. Nothing shows up in my files and when I go to my settings all it says is that the driver is not supported. What should I do to get my e reader to show up on my computer?

I have tried to connect my ereader to my laptop to download books to my ereader. I am unable to connect to the computer. What drivers do I need to make this happen? The USB cable charges the ereader, but data connection is not established. How do I establish a data connection?

I haven't used it for a couple of years and I think it's battery is out of its function.

I tried open the cover and replace it wish new one but I don't know what batter I should buy or where to buy...

I don't know how I do the wiring as well.

I know that the ACTUAL stylus replacement is unobtanium but is there one that is close enough. I see xperia x1 stylus and they look good enough but I don't know if I can shove it in the hole of my tiny boy

Sony Reader Touch Edition PRS-600: Why won't my reader shut off.?

my reader won't stop restarting. It won't let me open a book, nor shut off or anything.

It just goes to front page, then restarts again. I have fully charged it, and of course battery goes dead as it won't stop restarting.

I have tried to 'reset' with a pin, and also I have held the power button.

No luck

Hi all,

First off all, I did a screen replacement because the old screen was broken. After I reassembled it I had a few issues with the ebook again, so started to check what could be wrong but couldn't find an. So I've back together again. But after a usage of a couple of weeks the reader's battery was empty, and I wanted to charge it but nothing happened.

After a closer inspection I found out that I damaged the the flex/ribbon cable from the control/charging board.

The controls work fine but it won't charge nor connect to a pc anymore.

So my question is, what kind of flex/ribbon cable can I use to fix the problem?

I had a serious problem with my Sony PRS-T3. The screen is completely frozen and I have to open the device to reset it. I have check the board (visually inspection) and there is no trace of heating or water condensation).

And guess what, the device work perfectly and flawlessly until I put the plastic cover on it. And again it freeze and I have to go back to square one. I have also try using some spacer before closing the device without any success.

Do you have any idea of the localization of the problem. May be a bad connector or something like that.

I need your precious help !

My device has a dull grey screen with no pictures or words visible. I can tell my device is off and I can not figure out how to turn it on.

My device has been charging in a working power outlet for 12 hours.

Whenever the device is shifted in any direction you can hear a rattling noise. It sounds like something might be loose.
