I have a PlayStation 3 that will turn on, but it has no signal on my TV. I used an HDMI cable and have tried it in different ports on my TV. I even went back to the original cables that came with it to hook it up. What could be the problem?

I have had my PlayStation4 since release and just recently it started to give me issues. The PS4 is connected to a working power socket and plug in correctly, however I can't get the PS4 to respond (turn on) in anyway. It won't turn on at all, I get no light or beep like others have. The PS4 won't turn on for the Controller or Disk input. Noting out of the norm changed so I don't understand what would have caused this. No falls, no power outages, no over heating. Any ideas? can this even be fixed?

My ps4 hasn't been working for two days. I have tried 3 different HDMI cables, two tv's and it still wont work. Safe mode isn't coming up but my tv does recognize its connected to a playstation. Their is also sound coming through my headphones when connected to my controller. The light shows itstarted properly (blue light then white light). what should I do?

When I turn on my PS3 I get a quick flash of green, then yellow, then red. The red light continues to flash until you touch the power button again, and then it turns off. What could be causing this?

PlayStation 4: Replace Broken HDMI Port

The HDMI output to my PS4 recently broke. The pins inside the PS4 jammed and broke off. Now my PS4 has no output signal.

I called Sony and was told it was user error so they won't replace it for me.

The port is missing at least 2 pins. I have already taken the PS4 apart and couldn't figure out a solution. Is this part replaceable? Where I can find the part?

PlayStation 3: PS3 doesn't boot, no video, green light

My PS3 60GB (CECHE01) recently stopped booting. I tried two new sets of cables, thinking it was my TV, but no luck. Next, I tried to access the Safe Mode/recovery menu, but still saw no output on the screen. I also tried Safe Mode on an old, composite input TV to rule out my primary TV—no love there either.

A controller connected to USB will not register; it just blinks all four LEDs slowly. It shows the same symptoms when connected with component and old-school composite cables. I have no HDMI available to test.

The green light is on, there's no "yellowish" light of death, and the HDD access light will blink once at boot, then stays off.

The HDD doesn't have any unusual noises (clicking, voice coil dead, etc.).

Since I can't even get into Safe Mode, does this mean it's motherboard or power supply?

The console powers up normally. All connections have been tested and are good. HDTV and receiver inputs are set properly, but suddenly we only get a blank dark gray screen. No home menu screen as normal. All other inputs (cable) to TV and receiver work .

I got my PS3 in February of 2008. About four or five months ago it stopped reading discs. Neither Blu-Ray nor DVD are recognized—the drive never spins up. Everything else seems to work fine.

PlayStation 3: How can I fix my PS3 controller?

I woke up this morning and my PS3 controller isn't working. It was working last night and charging all night long. There seemed to be something sticky on it (no idea what it might be.) I took the controller apart and cleaned it, and the sticky stuff only seemed to be on the buttons, not on the motherboard. I tried resetting it and changing the battery, and it still won't work. I've fixed small issues on PS3 controllers many times before. but this one I can't seem to figure out.

I was wondering if anyone knows exactly which part of the motherboard or other parts in the controller that make the power turn on? I was also thinking that it may be the PS button, but I don't know what's inside the controller that makes the PS button work either. So any advice would be helpful! Thanks.

PlayStation 3 Slim: Why does Playstation 3 slim shut down seconds after start up.?

Ok. Plugging the cord into the wall brings up the red stand-by light. Pressing the power button you can hear the fan start up for a moment, then about 5 seconds later it shuts down. Red stand-by light disappears. Must unplug, then plug cord back into outlet for red light to reappear. I have bought a Power Supply Unit but that did not fix it. I do believe it was a different model then the one that was in it if that matters. Is it the power cord? The Power Supply? The Power Ribbon? Please help so desperate :(

PlayStation 4: Cannot Insert Discs to PS4

I'm assuming what's pictured is the guard raised to keep the disc in the optical drive when one is inserted.

Utilizing the manual release did not lower it.

Resetting the device in safe mode did not resolve the issue.

Am I correct in assuming this is what keeps the disc in the drive?

Any idea on a manual reset? I can press it down but it pops right back up.

Sorry for the blurry image. If you can make out the black plastic guard that's what I'm referring to.

UPDATE

One of the rollers came out of place which caused the guard to remain up.

New issue - it will not "accept" a disc. I can now insert the disc but it will not auto feed. I can use the manual eject screw to insert/remove the disc but it will not read. I've tried different tightness and it seems to try to spin the disc at a certain point (with lots of noise) but fails to read it.

if the system is powered on with the disc partially inserted the system appears to be cable of ejecting it.* The eject button no longer responds...

hi everyone my ps3 super slim wont read any disk when i put a disk in it makes a few click sounds then like a engine rev, i can tell i spins the disk i put in but not 360 what Im saying is it spins ones then stops and i does not show that the disk is in i do not know why its doing this but two days ago it work fine then today i turn it on and what do you know. oh and its only two years old i got it in late 2012 everything else works on the ps3 i just hate to buy a new one because im high ranks online in most of my games gta5 bf4 gt6 bo2 ect

PlayStation 4: PS4 will not power on

I just bought a used PS4 yesterday, and much to my horror it would not turn on when I brought it home. I set it up, and when I push power the blue light comes on for maybe a second, then shuts down completely. When I press it a second time, it beeps again (as it does when I touch "eject").

I've contacted Sony, but as it is out of warranty I'm not sure what they can do. Do any of you have any suggestions (other than banging it on my knee, which seems incredibly silly to me with an expensive piece of technology)?

Any help would be appreciated. I really hope I didn't just buy a $300 paperweight.

My HDMI port isn't registering that the cord is plugged into it. It worked fine last night while I was playing, but when I brought it to my parents house it didn't work. My cord has been chipped on the top, one of the metal prongs is hanging down some. It also doesn't plug in all the way into the port. Could it be that one of the prongs got bent back or broken off in the port? How much would it cost to get this fixed?

(I've tried other HDMI cords as well, they started to chip on the top too after I tried plugging it into my Playstation.)

PlayStation 3 Slim: ps3 slim turns on then right back off

The ps3 slim was giving to me by my sons friend. His father through it though the window and the cover cracked and now it will not start. I know but I - We should be able to fix it with the right parts or knowledge.

When I plug it in there are no lights but when I press the power button the red power standby light comes on. I press it again and the green light comes on, out lights on power and disk buttons come on, and the fan runs for a sec then it shuts down with all lights out.

I tried holding the power button in to check the video output and try to reset but it shuts down after a sec. It only beeps once when I first press the power button.
