Sony Remote Control RM-YD029: Why is my MRTV2020 remote keep flashing a red light?

My MRTV remote keeps flashing a red light and is not working. How can I fix that? I tried the” pressing and hold” of keys but still nothing is happening. Even the removing of batteries.

The STB Button of my Sony RM-YD029 Remote control doesn't light-up when I press it. I think it has some dust but I can't figure out how to open it.

It has 2 screws in the middle and 2 seams along each side.

I need help how to open it
