Sony Xperia X Compact: Why did my phone stop reading my sim card?

Phone was working fine, until one day it stopped loading apps that used data. I decided to restart the phone by powering it off and turning it back on. The result of this, was it stopped reading my SIM card. I have tried software repair with Sony Companion and nothing has worked (doing the software repair also did a factory reset in the process).

Sony Xperia X Compact: Sim Card not picking up mobile network. Possible software issue (Oreo)

After Oreo no data connection signal - two software repairs etc - no luck.

My sim works fine in other phones, and other sims dont work in the sony. My last resort is sending it for repair but is there anything else I can try at home?

This happened immediately after my phone restarted after the Oreo update, and there is no option to downgrade. Before that, nothing wrong with my signal or putting any sim card in the phone, as its unlocked to any network.

I bought it last April from sony on amazon

Sony Xperia X Compact: Microphone is very quiet

I replaced the screen and frame on a Sony Xperia X compact and since then when calling someone the other person sometimes can't really hear me good, sometimes it works fine and a second later it is very quiet and just doesn't work like it should.

What could the problem be? I already took the phone apart again and looked if there was any dust or something between the microphone (I hope it was the microphone, on the bottom right side of the mainboard?) and the screen but I didn't see anything.

Is it even possible to replace the microphone?

Sony Xperia 1: Can I replace the Sony Xperia 1 fingerprint reader/scanner?

Many owners of the Sony Xperia 1 have found its fingerprint reader can be temperamental.

At least one post on the Sony forums blames this on Sony using a crappy cheap component.

Obviously mine is now past any warranty and it is probably not worth the cost for official out-of-warranty repair.

The previous time my fingerprint reader randomly stopped working, a few safe mode reboots got it to work again.

This time I think it may be permanently dead. I can think of two possible solutions and I would l love some thoughts on whether either would work:

Cheaper(?) option: Buy a replacement fingerprint sensor flex cable and try to replace the component myself. But there is no guarantee the replacement would work and taking apart my phone might just cause more problems than it solves

Maybe costlier option: Buy a USB-C fingerprint reader. This is a less destructive/invasive solution and I'll have a USB-C fingerprint reader. But this is hoping my phone can use it via USB-OTG.
