Sony Dream Machine ICF-C180: Can I change the AC Power?

The external AC Power of the Sony Dream Machine ICF-C717PJ Alarm Clock (not the one in the tittle I am obliged to choose) seems to be dead due to a power over-tension. The cable of the AC Power is not plugged on the device but internally wired. I would like to substitute the AC Power by a similar one with the same specifications (voltage, power and stability). Can Anybody indicate me what are the specifications of the AC Power I should use as a substitution? Or better one AC power I could directly use? I have checked about the specifications of the devices in the manual but no information is provided regarding this. Thks
