The door does not stay closed, the spring is still there, but a latch is missing.

Usually dvd players have a screw inside that you can monkey around with to get your laser flowing better if the player isnt reading very good

this is the underside of the laser and the two screws on the circuit board here are my best guess lmk your thoughts

I'm guessing the battery has to be replaced. How do I get to it ? Is it under the disc holder, or do I have to unscrew the base to get to it ?

I have been able to open the portable disk player but can’t find replacement battery for Li-ion Battery Pack FY12-2S1P, DC 7.2V/1900mAh/14Wh. Looked at battery shops, ebay, online sources. Any advice?
