Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H200: Lens is stuck and camera won't turn on properly?

Basically i was using my camera as usual when the picture went extremely blurry. I turned it off to turn it back on again but the lens stayed out, which it has never done before. It now won't turn on properly, it just shows the 'Cyber-Shot' start screen and the lens is still extended. Really need this fixing as my father not long passed away and this was the last birthday present he ever got me and i also make youtube videos, there are many reasons this camera is important to me and i'd really appreciate any help!

I recently bought a used sony h20, which the seller told me supposedly still works but has a broken battery. I bought a new one but the problem remains: the green light on the power button and the light beside the lens flash once when i press the power or playback button, but then nothing else happens. I tried connecting the camera directly to an AC adapter as well as my computer, but still no luck. What could be the issue here?

Sorry for my english.my camera is taking white photos & live view also white..all other functions (flasher,zooming,keys,focusing unit,aperture,Usb connection,memory card reader) works well...and i can see past photos videos via playback..when i take a video..i can hear recorded sound track..but,video is blank white..please help me to fix it..! Initially, it would turn on in a “Picture” mode but only if the lens cap were in place. As soon as I remove the lens cap it shuts off.

Now, Camera will only power up in “view” mode, I can view all the pic’s on the card no problem. As soon as the selector it turned to ANY other mode it shuts off. It will not turn on in ANY mode but “view” mode.

No idea what happened, its been in its bag and worked just a couple months ago when I used it last!!!

Yes, I added new fresh batteries.

Help???

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H300: Why is the camera jumping between mode functions?

Hello

When I try to take a picture with my Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H300 it jumps from one mode function to another even if I have selected just one mode function with the mode dial. For example, if I select the “Intelligent Auto” mode on the dial, it changes to “Manual Exposure Shooting”, and then to “Movie Mode” uncontrollably.

I guess that the mode dial might have a problem. Does anyone know how to repair this issue?

I can't get a good picture when my daughter perform in Chorus so I Google for a Conversion lens and this website pop up that they have a kit for my camera but it's in UK. I tried Google if USA have it but they don't. I was expecting a good quality picture from that camera, but it's junk. And I don't know what I did to it but when I take a picture I have to hold it up until the red blinking light (screen says "recording ") disappear before I can take another picture. I want it to go away but I don't know how? Is there a clip camera lens for close up or wider picture on that certain model?

After taking a lot of photos my camera randomly shut down, the lens did not retract. I thought the battery was just drained so I charged it. After it was full, I placed it again in the camera. When I pressed the on button, green light blinked once and also the focus light blinked once but the camera won't turn on.

My Sony DSC-H2’s shutter button broke (which seems to be a common thing on these models) and needs a replacement. So far I’ve figured out how to replace it however since it’s an old camera I can’t find the remplacement parts anywhere. Just decade-old forum discussions and outdated listings. Does anyone have an idea where I could look for it?

My Sony DSC-H2 was working fine until recently. The word 'Access' appears when you start it up, indicating that there's a problem with extending the lens. The image is fuzzy and can't be focused. When I try to power it off, it tries about three times to retract the lens but then gives up and leaves the lens half out.

I've tried new batteries and a factory reset of the camera.

Any help appreciated.

Sony DSC-H2 S/N 4419046 purchased 12/30/2006 indicates a low battery voltage after 10 flash pictures or 25 non-flash pictures. I have new batteries (Sanyo Ni-MH HR-3U 2700mAh. Lithium and Alkaline types have the same symptom. The problem does not seem to be specific to any function such as flash or using rear display rather than the viewfinder. I am a competent electronic repair technician. I can measure and do modern PCB repair. I'm not intimidated by the complexity. I expect a leaky capacitor, but don't know where to order unique parts for this camera . Thank You for reading ! Bob

I recently purchased a Sony dsc-h300 camera online from someone (I know kinda stupid) when i got it, it worked fine I took about 7 pictures then I was getting a turn off/on warning pop up. I turned it off then on and it worked fine. The lens is out like when you zoom. The camera all of a sudden shuts off with the lens still zoomed out. I turned it back on and it just shows the cyber shot logo and won’t turn on like it normally would. I changed the batteries, blew the lens, held the power and menu button even tried power and okay button also i had hit it and I still have the same problem. If anyone knows how to fix it please let me know.
