Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100: Dropped camera - not powering on

I dropped the camera without protection on stone floor. A small crack has formed in the plastic on the left side of the camera seen from the screen, and some parts look a little bit skewed but not much. The power isn’t turning on and when I try to charge it, no light is glowing. All mechanical components are operational and the battery looks intact. Any idea what the problem might be and if it is fixable?

The Camera is about 8 years old. Approximately within 1 year it developed a malfunction and stopped switching on. Unfortunately we were unable to trace the Invoice and were therefore unable to avail the Warranty. Later when we We sent it to Sony Service Centre, they quoted an exorbitant cost..almost equal to the original cost of the camera !

Is there anything that can be done ?

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100: Sony RX100 Work Without Lens?

I have an old studio television camera from 1968, that includes an impressive zoom lens. Due to the old electronics, it is impossible to make the camera functional using original parts. However, the imager on that old camera is the same size as the imager on the Sony RX100. Is it possible to remove the lens from an RX100 and still have the camera function without displaying any trouble codes? The RX100 body could then be mounted at the focal plane inside that studio television camera and generate an image using the RX100. I have done this successfully with the Nikon J1 camera body, but there is no way to set the display for image-only. Thank you very much. Dave
