So I put a new battery in and I turned it on, the power led comes on and I hear the chime but then it turns off. What could be the issue ?

I got this camera with a broken screen and a stuck lens. I replaced both with working parts and reassembled everything. The camera can take photos, but the flash doesn’t work.

When I half-press the shutter button, the flash indicator blinks for a while, then an E:91:01 error appears and the camera takes the photo without using the flash.

I replaced the entire flash assembly, but that didn’t fix the issue. I also tried replacing the main motherboard, the flex cable, and even the whole casing. I’ve practically replaced almost the entire camera, but the problem is still there.

I also tested it with another flash assembly that I know works. When I inserted the battery and turned the camera on, the flash fired once by itself on the date/time setup screen, without pressing the shutter. After that, it didn’t fire again.

Does anyone have any ideas what I should check next?

As you can see, it looks as if the brightness had been turned up super high (IDK what exactly this problem is called). I have confirmed it's just the screen. The photos are fine. I can still make out some stuff when I view the camera at an angle, with the bottom of the camera facing me.

I tried factory resetting it using the "Initialize" option but that didn't help. Also tried removing and re-seating the LCD ribbon cable. Any chance I can get away with not having to replace the screen?

The camera is fully operational except it sometimes turns on and off by itself, causing the battery to drain in my bag as it continuously tries to open the lens.
I have found that it is usually caused when the closed EVF gets pressed, however it also turns on when it gets shuffled around too much even though the EVF is protected.

Hi,

When I turn on my DSC H200 I get the "Turn the camera off and on" message. I can get past this by pressing the "DISP" button twice and then zooming in slightly. Once the DISP menu disappears I can operate the camera as normal EXCEPT there is a black crescent on the right hand edge of the image which reduces as I zoom in further, and disappears at around 3 to 4 times zoom (image attached)

It looks like it might be something askew inside the lens. This camera was purchased new and has had very little use (due to this issue). It has never been dropped and is stored in the original packaging

Can anyone shed some light on this issue, or can anyone please advise how to dismantle the lens for inspection?

I recently bought a used sony h20, which the seller told me supposedly still works but has a broken battery. I bought a new one but the problem remains: the green light on the power button and the light beside the lens flash once when i press the power or playback button, but then nothing else happens. I tried connecting the camera directly to an AC adapter as well as my computer, but still no luck. What could be the issue here?

After taking a lot of photos my camera randomly shut down, the lens did not retract. I thought the battery was just drained so I charged it. After it was full, I placed it again in the camera. When I pressed the on button, green light blinked once and also the focus light blinked once but the camera won't turn on.

The lens doesn't come out at all, it's as if it's completely stuck. I tried cleaning the area, but it didn't work.
