Sony CMT-CPX1: Sony CMT-CPX1 next track/fast forward selector opens CD door.

HI all!! I have a SONY MICRO Hi-Fi Component Unit Model No CMT-CPX1, and when I turn the selector for the next track on the CD, the CD tray opens, as if I had pressed the eject button. The same thing happens, when i try to fast forward a tape. The selector, as you can see in the picture, has multiple functions, depending on the selected source. It is like pressing 2 buttons at the same time. What could be the problem and how it could be repaired?

I had this device for a couple years now and used it all the time now when I try to put a disc in it goes down but it goes back up all the time and then when I turn off this device, it goes down and up down and up please help me

Sony CMT-CPX1: Sony CMT-CPX1 – Tuning knob issue (frequency keeps changing)

Hello,

I’m having an issue with the tuning knob on my Sony CMT-CPX1.

When I move the tuning button up, the frequency decreases as expected. However, when I return it to the neutral position, the frequency keeps increasing on its own.

The same thing happens when increasing the frequency — once I put the knob back to neutral, it keeps changing instead of stopping.

Has anyone experienced this issue or knows what could be causing it?
