Sony α6500: Does a Sony camera motherboard require custom calibration after?

Does a Sony mirrorless camera motherboard swap require custom calibration steps afterwards?

I have a Sony a6500 with mainboard damage and before buying a replacement mainboard the seller told me that it's possible the mainboard will require additional calibration and adjustment steps that are custom to the camera body that I have.

They said sometimes it might require focus adjustment and long exposure noise suppression adjustments.

Has anyone else encountered this while repairing Sony mirrorless cameras? It sounds like it's not a simple replacement and might need more dedicated hardware and software.

Sony α6500: Main board swap - how to avoid problems?

I’ve got Sony with a power problem. After investigation I found it has an essential chip (IC5700) killed by a dummy battery. It can’t be replaced, so I have to do a whole main board swap.

It’s (insanely) pricey, but possible. The problem is - many report that after a replacement camera may malfunction: EVF may stop working, AF problems, some functions get disabled. As it’s costly thing to do I’m very nervous - how to guarantee myself from such things?

Service manual describes how to transfer needed data from an old board, but:
Old board must work (which it doesn’t want to do);
You need Sony Adjust Station software (which isn’t available).

And I have some suspicious thoughts on that…
What should I do to get this cam working again? What’s your experience?

Update (03/27/2022)

UPD. Board photos if needed

Can’t say if it’s useful though

Sony α6500: Sony a6400 LCD problem

I couldn’t choose a6400 in the menu and figured the a6500 was the closest.

My issue happened when I was flipping my screen over. It worked fine before flipping, but after flipping it the picture disappeared and all I could see was the faint bright vertical lines, as seen in the photos

When the lens is pointed towards something bright, the monitor gets a slightly brighter silhouette, as seen in picture 2 . The touch-tracking also works, and by looking into the viewfinder, it tracks where I press as well.

It should also be noted that I sent the camera in for repair a few months back, due to a destroyed SD-card slot. Do you think one of the ribbon cables might have come loose after the repair, or is the screen itself broken? There are no visual signs that it should be, but I would like some expert opinions before I open it to check the cables.

Thank you in advance!

Hi, I was shooting an event and noticed my flash was a little loose but didn't have time to try and tighten the hot shoe mount. Towards the end, the hot shoe itself broke off. Everything I can find on the internet is for broken hot shoe mounts which are repairs for the flash, but my issue is the hot shoe on the camera itself. Can add pictures if that would help.
