Removed empty cartridge and a yellow piston with a rubber gasket fell out. I put it back in and it will no longer seal. I tried putting gaskets on top of bottle but still will not work.

I'm experiencing a significant issue with my SodaStream Crystal 2.0 and hoping to get some advice or solutions.

The problem:
When I use the carbonation feature, there's a considerable water leak from the top part of the machine. After carbonation, I notice water visibly dripping for a long time, pooling inside the bottle container and at the base of the machine. Additionally, when the container and bottle are still pressurized, I hear a gurgling sound from the release valves, which I haven't noticed in other machines of the same model owned by friends.

Troubleshooting so far:
I removed the top cover to inspect the source of the leak. When I used the carbonation feature without the top on, I observed a substantial amount of water being emitted from the two valves circled in red in the picture.
The water was ejected with such force from the left one that it even made the ceiling above the machine wet. It seems that, somehow, the water is traveling back when the bottle is still pressurized.

Additional Info:
I'm being careful not to fill the provided glass bottles over the max level marked clearly visible on the bottles.

Background:
From what I've gathered, this issue doesn't seem to be isolated. I know at least one other person who had the same problem, and I found on Reddit an old post where two more people reported similar issues. Unfortunately, none of these posts had any solutions.

Seeking DIY Fix:
The machine is out of warranty, so I'm looking for any ideas or DIY fixes that could help resolve this problem. Has anyone else faced this issue and found a solution? Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

SodaStream Source: Why will the lever not push back fully with a bottle inserted?

The device has worked fine until now, but when I insert a bottle now the lever won’t fully go back into position. It works fine without the bottle but now it won’t work.

Has something broken or bent? I can’t see anything different up there. We have it on two different machines now.

Hi, I just fixed air leaking and now it leaks water..I changed the nuts on the hose and the air is leaking minimally now..I dont know if I can tighten it more because I tried with the broken nut which I glued together and it separated again while tightening

I have some older version of Sodastream than that

Sodastream; like the idea and hate the fact that i’ve spent a couple of years looking for what you’d think is or must be an easy washer to obtain. The washer that needs changed frequently that holds the carbonater or Co2 gas container up in the back of the unit and i found one guy on line and was fine and went back to mail again a second time and he’d sent washers that was just a little too big this time around. And Amazon wasn’t useful in this regard (nope)! And neither is the manufacturer or the current manufacturer who ever took over the business/company/corp. It’s not a friendly outfit that you’d think by giving out information of the exact washer size, the correct fitting one little neurphrene o ring that that’s giving away State’s secrets. Oh we wouldn’t want to make it too easy for you to replace that little washer on the Source Sodastream, maybe he will just finally lose his cool and throw it away and never buy another one after all, maybe that’s more like it.

The sodastream worked very poorly. I needed to press for ages to carbonate anything, and it barely carbonated. Gas canisters emptied way quicker than i felt they should as well, and sometimes the nozzle would keep spraying even when i stopped pressing, until i unscrewed the canister and then put it backin. I decided to open it up to see if i could find any problems, and in the dissassembly tutorial you remove a gold bar that i assume is for properly pressing and pulling several parts, but that bar is literally not in the machine? The hole for it is there so i am left bewildered.

Is this a manifacturing error, or just a different model? I’m having lot of errors so i hope this is the solution, but i have no idea where i would even find such an obscure part. Then again maybe any generic sylinder that fits would do the trick. Thoughts?

After disassembling the Sodastream to the core. I gave it a clean thoroughly. While washing I found a button cell magnet stuck at the bottom of the sink.

Where is this button magnet supposed to go in the Sodastream?

SodaStream: Sodastream Crystal; How do I reset the two valves?

I have a sodastream crystal that isn't working properly. It seems to be the valves so I took them apart to inspect the o-rings and they were fine. Now I'm not sure how to re-seat them. There seems to be a "sweet-spot" for both of them but I cannot find it on either. From what I can see, these valves are on every model of sodastream to release the CO2 pressure when your unit gets to the right pressure which I am assuming is around 38-40psi.

The reason I took the unit apart in the first place is because it stopped "burping" and would just release all pressure through the silicon seal at the top of the unit where it seals the glass carafe and there would be an explosion of soda water everywhere, and I would have to drain the aluminum base that holds the glass carafe in place. If someone could please explain what to do here, I'd appreciate it!

Any links to parts or guides would really help!
