Smart Keyboard: Not recognizing my keyboard. Will recognize another.

Any ideas as to why my smart keyboard isn’t being recognized all the time? I borrowed a friends and it works just fine. Not the iPad pro 10.5 issue. Possibly a problem with the magnets in the keyboard? It works sporadicly. Don’t want to replace if I don’t have to spend the money. Any advice would be great.

Smart Keyboard: Which pin connects with which part of the fabric?

When viewing the tear down I saw that the repairability is 0/10.

My Smart Keyboard is acting up (it shows the device is being charged when I connect the keyboard to the iPad) and thus lead to poor keyboard performance (repeated keystrokes and malfunction).

After some research I believe that their might have been something wrong with the “conductive fabric” which causes poor connectivity. So, I’m planing to wire the contact pin to the deeper part of the fabric to remedy the wear and tear on the hinge part.

Problem is I have no idea which part of the fabric is connect to which pin, and I have no x-ray image to reference to.

If I can get this information, I may be able to salvage the keyboard in some way.

Thanks!

Smart Keyboard: Make a hole in a Smart Keyboard Folio

Hi,,

I would like to put a physical lock on my Ipad Pro. To do this, I need to stick a small iron plate at the back of my Ipad. If I do that, I cannot anymore use the smart keyboard folio because the iron plate is a little bit to thick. In order to resolve this issue, I would like to make a hole in the cover part in order to put the iron plate at this location. Do you know if it may damaged my smart keyboard folio to do that ? Is there is a recommended location to do the Hole in the folio cover

Here is an exemple of the plate I want to stuck at the back of my Ipad.

Thank you for your help
