Small Engine: Briggs 19G417 1181-E1 engine runs on 1/2 choke kind of?

Finally got the engine to start for more than a chug and die. If I feather the choke it stays running but it's like it is missing and as soon as it is slid to RUN it dies. Even got it to stay running at 1/2 choke but it was sputtering and what seemed like high RPM???

Has a new carb and am also wondering how many turns the mixture screw is usually in/out? Messing with that got it running this far but far from perfect.

This is all on a Coleman Powermate Magna Force 5000 generator.

Small Engine: Engine cranks, but won't start

I have a 28000-series OHV Briggs&Stratton engine whose piston connecting rod was recently replaced. After reassembling everything, the engine will turn but refuses to start.

I've rule out the following issues:

The valve clearances have been set according to specs with feeler gauges

Carb & carb solenoid is working correctly. Thought the old carb might be clogged, but I put in a new carb and there's no change

Spark plug is sparking

Thought the year-old gas in the tank might be the culprit so I put in new gas...nothing

I'm at a complete loss as to why the engine won't start. Any ideas as to what the problem might be? TIA

Small Engine: riding mower stops moving

I have an old MTD and I am NOT one that knows riding mowers...just trying to fix it without major expense. And BTW, I am a woman..haha..so please speak dumb to me!

I have an MTD 13AN690G352. Anyway, when I drive the mower it seems fine until I try to change speeds (by speed control on left hand side) and the mower slows to a stop. Noticed that the pulleys stop also. Then I actually got off of the mower and it would not move...as if the brakes were on. I can get it going again for a few minutes by changing speeds and pressing the clutch, but it stops again.

Help?? Any ideas? Changed spark plugs, oil and fuel lines...what next....

Thanx

Small Engine: HELP! When riding mower starts and I start to drive or shake it dead

I have a craftsman riding lawn mower with a briggs and statton 19.5hp turbo cooled platinum engine. Its an older one but its worked like a charm until beginning of spring. I mowed my lawn the first time with no issue. I go and start it up again 3 weeks later and it cuts and im almost done it dies. Every since then i go to crank it it will immediately start up and once i start to ride it slightly stalls and it goes dead and will not crank back up. I used starting fluid with success but eventually does the same. Ive replaced the fuel filter and yet its still doing it. I cleaned the carburetor and it cranked perfectly and i just left it to run in the garage for about 5 minutes. Sound beautiful. During this i started to shake the mower back and forth and it hestitated and died. It didnt crank back up. What is going on? I clean the carburetor 3 times and it cranks up perfect. I start to ride and after i go over some rough bumps or holes in the yard and it shakes the mower it stalls out and dies. Need help ASAP! I just changed my oil which was so black. I did notice after shaking the mower and it died i did take the oil dipstick out and the oil was all the way up the dipstick. Was it too much? It was obviously but would that be the reason .
