Singer Brilliance 6180: I got a C4 error. It will turn on, but not sew

I recently got a C4 error on my machine. It turns on, but when I try to sew, it doesn’t work and instead gives me a beeping C4 error. Before I got the error the tension felt tight. I didn’t find many YouTube videos that related to this issue, any that were helpful. I took it to a repairman but he said the circuit board was bad. I don’t think he was right, because he then tried to sell me another machine. I know I might have to replace it, but I still want to know if it’s truly a circuit board issue.

I bought a used Singer M2100 for 60 bucks. It looks pretty new came with box. I could not get it to pick up the bottom thread. I adjusted upper needle and when I went to adjust the claw it wouldnt budge even though i loosened the arm. Any tips?

I didnt see a section for this sewing machine. I really dont want to throw it away if it can be fixed.

Singer Brilliance 6180: Handwheel is stuck? No bobbin jam

I have a singer brilliance 6180. It hasn't been used in years, but we recently got it out to give it a chance. When my kid fired it up, they got a c4 message? So I opened up the bobbin area to make sure there was no jam, and put it back together. That's when we realized the handwheel is stuck! For some reason I am having extreme difficulty finding anything other than "make sure there is no bobbin jam" in the advice category. If anyone has any ideas, we would truly appreciate it! Thanks so much

Singer Brilliance 6180: Fashion Mate 7256 Bobbin Cover Release Spring

Hi folks.

I have a Fashion Mate, which looks identical to this machine.

When I use the bobbin cover release button to release the bobbin cover plate, the plate doesn't pop up like it used to. Something bent for some reason, and that underlying pressure isn't there to pop it up. How can I fix this?

The plate holds on to the left side, so I'm thinking it's in that side. But I'm not sure where. Does anybody know what I should look at? Here are some images:

My machine images

Any insight appreciated. Cheers
