Nest Cam: Cut and repair the power cable to the outside nest cam?

I bought the outside nest cam but the connector is like 3/4 around. Trying to fish that through the soffit is quite hard. I'm pretty technical but cutting the power supply and repairing on a $250 camera seems somewhat risky if I mess it up. My question is on the line that is connected to the camera if I cut it is it easy to repair?

Nest Cam: Nest Cam IQ - Using low voltage wiring instead of included wall plug

Hi There! Im new to the forums but looking for help with my security cameras. I have old security cameras on my house hard wired via low volatage (network cabling it looks like) to a central multi-channel power supply in my bedroom closet. I want to replace the cameras with Nest Cam IQ Outdoor cameras, so I purchased one to see what I could do. My hope was I could splice the included USB-C cable to my existing low voltage wires, supply the correct voltage at the multi-channel power supply box and be on my way.

No such luck. I'm afraid that Nest has done something special with it's wall adapter, requiring the third, yellow wire, to be attached - possibly to tell the wall adapter how much voltage is needed?

To test this theory, I took both parts of my my newly cut USB-C cable, and connected only the red and black wires to each other. The camera had a red light ring, indicating "Your camera is plugged in but there’s not enough power for it to work correctly. The small status light will be off. Make sure that you plug the camera into a standard household socket." When I connected the yellow wire back up, the camera functioned properly.

Here's a picture of the wall adapter, note that it's output is 5V-2A OR 9V - 3A OR 15V -1.87A.

I'd rather not have to run the included cables/wall adapter through my walls, any help/ideas would be appreciated.

Nest cam outdoor: Hardwiring the Nest Cam Outdoor

My house is new construction and has a low voltage hardwire in place for a security camera. I want to wire the Nest Cam Outdoor to this hardwire. Any thoughts on how it should be spliced and attached. Could I just cut the USB cable and attach the power wires directly to the house hardwiring?

Motorola MBP33SBU: Motorola MBP33 baby camera disassembly

Looking for a guide of how to dismantle the baby camera for a Motorola MBP33 baby monitor please. Found a few for replacing the mic and speaker but I'm hoping to replace some IR led's as only 3 out if 9 work giving a dark image. Have had it apart as much as the base off but wonder if anyone has managed to disconnect the 2 small multicore plugs as they won't disconnect and don't want to over do it and break any thin wires. Looks like the plugs have to disconnect to allow the camera housing to be removed to allow it to be split to get access to the camera led's, so any advice would be much appreciated thanks

Nest Hello: How to find a replacement ribbon cable for Nest doorbell 2nd gen, batt

While attempting to remove the nest doorbell without the correct tool, I accidentally popped the front plate from the rear portion.
