Seagate Expansion: File names disappeared now 0000001 00000002

Hey guys

Would really appreciate anyones help, I dropped my external hard drive it broke, my friend managed to get it working again but all the files are now blank with 00000001 0000002 as the names. Is there anyway he can recovery the files to its original state ?

Today I found my old Seagate Backup Plus Desktop Drive (4TB) with the removable power stand

I have not used this drive since I got it back in '17 and found it laying in it's box.
I plugged it in to use it as games storage on my PC and it has a very quiet clicking sound, doesn't popup in my PC on devmgmt or Seagate Tools.

The light on the power stand turns off as soon as I attach the SATA ports on the drive to the stand

I tried attaching a HDD I had in my PC to it and the light turns off, but the drive works just fine

My free agent external drive worked great yesterday but now it wont even power up today! If i plugged in the wrong power cord could that bave ruined my drive?

Seagate Expansion: Why can't I find the device from My Computer?

When the device is plugged in, I see the small USB logo on the taskbar but I cannot see it in My Computer. When I click the taskbar logo, nothing happens.

I buy Toshiba external hard disk 2T. But when i want to transfer my data, it can only transfer until 74GB. I already format the hard disk, but the problem still happen. Pls help me. TQ

Seagate External Storage: Seagate 4 TB partitioned volumes greyed out on MacBookPro (10.6.8)

My Macbook Pro (late 2007) OSX 10.6.8 is not reading a 4 TB Seagate external drive. 1 TB is partitioned for Carbon Copy Cloner and 3 TB contains my Music. I had issues yesterday with the Music volume appearing greyed out. After restarting via Startup Disk, the music volume appeared. I went a bit ahead of myself and tried rebooting through CCC. The system powered on with a ding, but I got this spinning grey circle and after 45 minutes I powered off by pressing the power button for 7-10 seconds.

When I powered on the Mac and plugged in the external drive, the finder wouldn't read it. Disk Utility shows both volumes greyed out, but the drive name/disk description is there. Both Verify Disk and Repair Disk say the volumes are fine. I tried switching USB cables, but nada.

Please help. I have been using this external drive for the last 3 years without a problem. It's a lifetime of music from LPs, 8-tracks, tapes and CDS.

Should I try Diskwarrior or TechToolPro? Any other tips?

Seagate External Storage: unable to download to external harddrive

i fixed the harddrive letter as that didnt show up but now when i try to download anything the box comes up with all options to send download to but harddrive(r)isnt in the box as it always has been before
