Sanyo VPC-T700: Why is memory card showing full

I transfered the photos on the memory card to the comp hard drive and deleted the photos from the memory card. Yet it shows the card is full on reinsertion in the camera

So the original battery charges fine green light goes on as normal but just got a replacement battery a Fry's electronics it's the right one for my camera it only go in one way so that's not an issue but when I go to charge it automatically goes to red ( error)? Side by side comparison they are identical.

Sanyo VPC-T700: Mode switch won't work

The mode switch moves freely but doesn't actually change the mode. I'm trying to get it to playback so I can get pics from internal memory.
