Sansa e260R: Faulty Battery or Faulty Connector?

Good evening,

I’ve recently dug up my old Sandisk mp3 and thought I’d try to use it again. I ended up using a known-good generic 3rd party Apple 30-pin connector to plug it in into the wall socket. I tried turning it on a few times to see if it would run on power but the same message would appear.

“Battery is too low. System shutdown.”

I even let it alone for 30 minutes but there wouldn’t be any battery indicator or changes on the screen, same message always ends up popping up.

Another thing I ended up finding out was that whenever I wiggled around the cable the ring light-thing would turn on for a very quick second but then turn off. i checked the connector itself and it didn’t seem to have any external damage to the prongs or the connector itself.

Not sure if it has to do with a battery replacement but, I wanna double check myself and see if my suspicions are correct.

Any information or tips are appreciated.

Recently dug out my old Sansa Clip+ and couldn't get it to power on. Appears the component shown below has ruptured and I assume is the issue. Looks like a capacitor to me but I can't find anything that looks the same with the markings s451. Hoping someone can point me in the direction of a replacement. Thanks in advance.

Sansa Clip Zip: Memory is too full

This device has a voice record function, using WAV, which eats up storage fast. One day, I inadvertently recorded beyond the storage limit. Now, when I try to turn it on or plug it into my computer, I get the message “Not enough space for Music DB. Please free 200 MB.” Trouble is, the device won’t show up in the Finder to let me delete anything! I’ve tried every combination of button pushing to try and get it to restart. Is there any hidden way to wipe the memory clean?

Sandisk clip jam: How do I repair my screen? [Respond asap]

My MP3 player dropped out of my pocket onto the road while I was leaving my car. Unfortunately, I didnt realize it had fallen out of my pocket until the next day where it rained. I found it today just now and unfortunately the entire screen is cracked, and I can see a little water droplets inside the chassis. Fortunately, however, my MP3 still works and files are accessible through my computer. How can I repair my MP3 display? Is there any good reputable replacement part sites so that I can purchase and repair my own mp3? If not, where can I send my Mp3 for repair? Thank you all in advance.
