Samsung rs261mdrs: Refrigerator not cooling, air not flowing from freezer, test damper?

Samsung RS261MDRS/XAA Refrigerator stopped cooling. Found that the damper is staying closed although there is no ice buildup. I can physically open the door but it soon shuts and never repens by itself. The thermistor is showing the proper ohms for room temperature and cold (used ice water). Because it can close by itself, I assume the motor is good and considering replacing the control board. Is there another troubleshooting step I need to perform to determine if the motor can open as it should? I'm not sure how to cycle the door open and shut. Thanks in advance!

***Update: thanks to Jayeff, I was able to troubleshoot damper motor, and there are no trouble lights. I'll continue troubleshooting and update the comments.
