I can easily replace.the drain pump cover; but I'm thinking that may be a symptom not the cause. How can I tell if there is something else is wrong that is the cause (like shocks if it has them) that needs to be replaced? I note there Ppear to be 4 springs on the corners of the drum that I am guessing are shocks. Several have visible play (can move up and down at least an inch). No experience to know if that is normal. Also - this is the second Samsung washer machine where I have had the clamp let loose. Why do they use only a hand pinch compression clamp?
