Samsung NaviBot SR8855: NaviBot SR8855 stopped working

Hi!

My SR8855 suddenly died when it was out on a cleaning run one day.

It have had the problem that after the first start it goes back to the charging station after just a few seconds to load up fully and then it goes off and does the whole run.

I have thought it was the battery being bad and now one day it suddenly stopped and went completely black. When I manually put it in front of the charger, the charger beeps and can find the cleaner but the cleaner keeps being black.

I have taken it apart, there is around 3v coming out from the battery and I have tried to look at the on/off button, as some others have had problem with, and it is also 3v coming though that button when I put it as On.

I am not so great to understand a electrical schematic so I do not know what to else try to troubleshoot with a multimeter. I couldn't find any burning marks either.

Will add some pictures, cheers!

Samsung NaviBot SR8855: Why my robot doesn't boot up

Hello everyone,

I have an issue with my SR8895 vacuum robot.

During some weeks, the robot failed intermittently, the count down is ok, but after it the robot is crashed, no response from the touch or remote control, only the first battery led is on.

Even with a fully charged battery only the first battery led is on.

Once the robot is crashed, I measure the 5v rail and I saw that the pic controller tries to reboot the robot by cutting down the +5v. The robot restarts and the count down pass and the robot stuck again. the robot reboot around each 1 minutes.

Until now, I was using as workaround this two step: disconnect the PSU and wait for a while.

But today I seem that this workaround is no more efficient.

Do you have an idea of the issue or do you have the schematics?

I will very helpful for me.

Thank you

PS: I have a multimeter and soldering tools

Hello there. I am assigned here in the Philippines and the Samsung service center does not have knowledge on the Navibot. Never released here for some reason. Whenever my bot docks green light comes on the base' battery indicator levels Co. E on. The scrolling happens' the lit ring fees on and off.
