Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3: Samsung Fold 4 Frame Damaged and Will Not Fully Open

The phone was dropped and landed on the bottom corner where the hinge is located. The affected area's side will not fully open and feels stuck when attempted. I can only half open the fold.

I viewed teardown videos but I am not confident that opening the front LCD will reveal the affected area and that I can fix it.

Does anyone have tips or might have an answer on how to fix this?

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3: Can I switch foldable screen for ordinary flat?

Is there a way to replace foldable screen with ordinary OLED display? I have this question because if it is possible many "dead" phones with broken front panel could be revived as makeshift powerful tablets and reduce waste.

What do you think about this idea, is it feasible?

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3: The 2 Screens not always working

I dropped my phone

The front screen didn't work, but the inside screen worked. I used the tap and massage the phone technique. The outside sceen now works, but the inside screen doesn't work. If I partially open it, I can get the screen to work intermittently. But once it's about halfway open the screen doesn't respond. I opened the phone to see if reconnecting the ribbon cables would work, or if I could find anything loose. I tried clearing the cache in safe mode. I've tried taping and massaging it more, no difference.

Is there a board or cable that I can replace, that might be a likely culprit? Is there a diagnostic software I could use to find the faulty part? Or any other ideas?

Thanks Dan Mayer
