Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 Wi-Fi: Why won't my tablet charge nor turn on?

I left my tablet charging one night, and when I woke up, it was at 10%. It refused to charge, so I turned it off and tried charging it while it was off.

Again, I woke up, but my tablet was at 8%. I turned it back on and let it charge, and it still refused, so I discharged the battery.

Now, the tablet won't turn on and the area near the charging port becomes hot when I charge it.

Is there any known way of fixing this aside from sending it in for repair?

My boyfriend took a blow-dryer on low and no heat to it then I tried to turn it on it loaded to the recovery mode but stays stuck on the initial coman page when I try to factory reset or restart or anything, it just acts like it's going to but then comes back to that same list of commands

Samsung Galaxy Tab E 8.0: Tablet screen is very dim

Hello! I need a bit of help trying to fix my tablet. I dropped it on it's side earlier, and now the screen's brightness seems to be very low. The device is still working well, I can use it like I would everyday. But the screen is super dim, almost impossible to see in the light and dark rooms.

I assume this may be an issue with the backlight. Is there any way to fix this? :[

Samsung Galaxy Tab E 9.6 Wi-Fi: Screen cracked but still working. What do I need to replace?

I just dropped my old Samsung Galaxy Tab E9.6 and the screen is badly cracked with bits of loose glass, but the LCD still works.

When I search for replacement screens, I mostly find stuff that costs $50 or more that include a new LCD, but I also find a few results that only replace the digitizer but not the LCD, for $11-20. I’m not entirely sure what a digitizer is, though.

Is that good enough for my situation? LCD and touch still work fine as far as I can tell, it’s just the glass that’s badly cracked.

(Also, the home button doesn’t work anymore; I suspect water damage from way back. I can work around it, but if this replacement also fixes the home button, that would be a nice bonus.)
