My Galaxy S3 port is damaged I guess, because it does not charge even if I turn off the phone. It is not detected by my laptop. I tried a different charger and cables, but it still is not working. Will updating the software solve my problem?

Or do I have to change the port? if I have to change the port, can anyone guide me?

I dropped my S3 in the toilet. I tried the rice trick; it did not work. I took it apart and tried to clean out any water corrosion. After i did that, it worked... but there was a slight purple screen discoloration. I sent it into Samsung and they ruled that it was beyond repair because of a pad that had lifted on the IF connector. When they sent it back, the screen no longer worked. It charges fine and turns on. I can hear the unlock screen when I touch it, but the screen is completely black. What can I do to fix this, if possible?

When I plug my phone into the PC, it does not sync. All the phone does is charge. The PC doesn't seem to recognize my phone. I've tried re-installing the driver multiple times and that doesn't solve the problem. I need some help please!

Samsung Galaxy S III: Battery percentage going down but its charging

my samsung recently started not charging properly. It is plugged into charge but as i use it the percentage decreases until it goes to 0 and shuts down. i left it in last night to see if the problem was me using it while it was in charger ( even though iv never had a problem with this before) and it only had 83% when i woke up. so i left it in for another hour and it was still on 83, i jiggled the charger then it started charging. What is wrong with my phone, is it the battery or charger.

Phone is fairly new ( 6 months)

Samsung Galaxy S III: Why is my screen Purple/Pink

I dropped my screen and it didn't turn on for an hour and then turned back on. After it turned on it had a purpleish pinkish screen with a black square on the top left of the screen! I can barely see because of the pink/purple screen. PLEASE HELP!!!!

So this is the problem: i threw my phone on the ground and stepped on it (my temper is not the best). the screen is shattered at the top, so much that the little bits of glass are falling out so NOW i decided to put the case back on. (i know). When i plug the phone into a computer a prompt will pop up however, when i click on the pop up nothing can be found on the phone. On my mac the photos will be "loading" all day. nothing shows up ultimately.

i don't understand fully what is wrong. my phone still vibrates when i get a call or text and the little circle light at the top blinks as well as the menu and back button ,but i cannot see the actual screen.

Is there any way i can get my data off of this phone? (pictures, messages from within apps, voice recordings, memos, anything? If i get the screen fixed will my data remain on the phone?

i'm at a complete loss and freaking out! please help

Samsung Galaxy S III: My samsung won't charge, and isn't the battery's fault.

My phone was working fine, and charging fine, but when i woke up in the morning and went to check my phone the battery was at 35%. I unplugged my phone, and then plugged it back in. I waited a couple minutes and then when i checked it, it still wasn't charging. I took my battery out and put it back in after 15 min, and tried again... still nothing. So i took the battery out again and took the battery out of my cousins phone (Same exact phone,) and it still wouldn't charge. I tried plugging his phone in with my battery and it worked fine. So, what should i do? Also if i do need a repair, around how much would it cost? Thanks everyone!

Samsung Galaxy S III: Galaxy S3 headphone jack only plays sound through left ear.

I have tried several different headphones in my brand new Samsung Galaxy S III, but sound only plays from the left side of the headphones. I do not wish to return my unit to Samsung or ATT for repair or to get a replacement refurbished unit.

If I push on the headphone jack, the sound will play out of the right ear. Is there a way to repair this?

Hi everyone,

a friend has given me a Galaxy S3 saying it's not working.

1) I tried to boot it and I get a "white rain" effect. I have seen some people on the internet have this problem too, and it's because of the EMMC chip.

2) When I boot it in download mode I get the screen you can see in the image.

What is the better option?

Should I sell it (the phone is in excellent conditions) or replace the motherboard (the cost looks high on eBay)?

Do you know anyone who could repair the EMMC chip for cheap?

I have a samsung galaxy s3 i9300. Its screen got cracked so gave it to a local repairer.he replaced the whole display and touch.the touch is working fine but now the display brightness is neither increasing nor decreasing. So my question is.is there any problem in display?

I left my phone on top of the car. It fell onto the window wiper awhile it was raining. Didn't recover it until approx. 30 min. later. After soaking it in rice and hair drying it, the phone manage to turn on but isn't SENSING my finger tips. Therefore, my phones is somewhat useless because it is touch screen and its not reacting to me touching it. I can receive calls and texts, but I cant check them. I've spent a thousand dollars of this phone already (assets, replacement, deductible, billing ect.) I cant downgrade or pay more money. please tell me theres someway to have my heat sensor working again!!

I've seen the video and the teardown instructions. Unfortunately, they don't address the removal of the charging port from the board and replacement.I've purchased the replacement part, but the one in place does not move even when I apply force.

Has anyone done this? What is the trick?

Samsung Galaxy S III: White screen on startup, but can get into download mode

On some random day, my phone started showing a white screen which occurred when I plugged it into USB port of my workstation. This was unusual since I had used the same port before. Phone can get into download mode, but not into recovery and when booting up, it shows a plain white screen.What should I do here?

I just replaced the glass on a s3 and now have a tiny dot in the center of the screen .I have done many screens as well as digitizers on all kinds of android and iphones this is a first for me and am wondering what went wrong.The digitizer did not appear to have any defects and it was done in a dust free box so I don't think its dust. Its about the size of a pin head and the screen works fine.

Hi there,

I dropped my Samsung s3 and although there is no external damage, the LCD light won't turn on and it's black, even tho I can still turn the phone off and on and can still hear when a txt etc is received.

How can I get my screen to work again?

Samsung Galaxy S III: Water damage after put in washer

Accidentally put galaxy s3 into washer

phone was in there for about an hr.....

Took out the battery and left it dry next to a heater for couple hrs.

Put it together, didn't turn on so thought out of battery and plugged the charger.

Then heard buzzing/cracking sound from phone while charging so unplugged

Waited for some more time (overnight)

Then, no sound when charging.

Turned on just fine, can do everything except for camera not working and no sound at all (doesn't work with earphones either, check volume and airplane mode)

Seen the alcohol solution someone else got. Would that fix the camera and speaker problem? I think something might went on when I charged the phone.
