Samsung Galaxy S Blaze: Does a charging phone case work on a broken micro usb port?

I recently asked the question why isn't my new cellphone charging. I was wondering if a PowerSkin charging case would work on a phone with a broken micro usb port. I think it would because the case holds it in place so it cant move around unlike a charging cord. I was hopeing someone could give me there input on this idea. I really don't have the money to buy a new phone but if there is anyway that I could work around this problem to make things much easier for me that would be great. Please leave comments on what I should do.
