Samsung Galaxy SIII Mini: How Do You Network Unlock a Phone?

If you go to a normal plaza or mall, there obviously would be that one sketchy tech/electronic store that offers repairs/phone unlocks. How do those stores know how to network unlock phones? I'ts so weird that there isn't a way on how to network unlock a phone on YouTube or a forum post, and a random guy down the street opens up a phone repair shop and knows how to unlock phones! How do they do it? Do they pay a company to get access to the tool they use or what? I really want to know how to unlock phones without paying a website online or physically paying someone. Please tell me because maybe one day I'd like to be that guy opening an electronic shop down the street.

Hello! Recently I delved into my storage in my room and came across my old and first ever phone, my Samsung s3 (SIII) Mini, I was excited to of found it as I realised it most likely has a goldmine of old photos and videos of it which would be nice to look back on. However, I have no recollection of how I broke the phone, but all I know is that it does not turn on. I left it on charge for 2 days and still nothing, I’ve tried connecting it to a laptop but the laptop won’t even recognise it? I did end up downloading Phone Rescue for Android hoping that maybe that would help, however to no avail I am unable to connect to the phone at all via USB (I believe this is probably because it can not power on at all, what’s more the phone is most likely dead due to it’s old age), is there any way I could be able to get back into my photos at all, or will I have to end up taking a pricey trip to the repair store to somehow fix the phone? Thank you!

Hi, I my GS3 mini’s battery was on it’s last leg, so I bought a new battery for it. However, it appears that the third party battery I bought was rated for 1350mAh, while the original was 1500mAh. When I run it on the weak original, no flickering. On the new one, flickering. How do I fix this without buying a new phone or yet another battery replacement? (I bought a Samsung Original)

I currently have a G730V that needs a new display. Is the display for a i8190 compatible with this model? I know that the frames have compatibility issues with the typical SIII, but I want to know if that applies to the Mini as well.

I got a near-mint SIII Mini (i8190N) for free, as someone killed some system files while attempting a root. I want to use this as a daily driver on CyanogenMod 10, however, I am not sure which method to go with. Will it work if I just flash TWRP via Odin (on Ubuntu 20 LTS), then install the ROM and GApps, or do I need to reflash the stock TouchWiz ROM, re-root, then go from there?

So, I have a s3 mini (i8200) and i rooted it, then i downloaded twrp app and put the device (golden is the code) and then flashed it, then i used an Fast Reboot app to reboot to recoverey and then, it was stuck on samsung s3 mini logo, and i cant to anything to put it in recoverey because it just restarts and goes to samsung s3 logo, and when i connected it to my pc, it doesent get recognised, so is there any fix?

My Samsung SIII Mini I8190 slowed down as it was overloaded (RAM usage 92%!) with pics and videos - my wife's doing! (S'true!) I connected the phone to my laptop (hp ProBook 4310s Intel Core2 running Windows 7 Professional) which has 52,6 Gb free space. I created a folder on the C drive called SAMSUNG SIII Backup. I then opened the phone and copied the folders and files to said backup folder on the notebook. So far, so good. I then executed a factory reset on the phone. It's response time was still slow so I reformatted the phone as a "Mass Storage Device" and reinstalled the drivers from Windows Update. I have removed (into a dedicated PC folder) all of the offending video & photo material both from the camera as well as from WhatApp so they are safe and sound albeit that the folders on the phone are now empty. This after I sent the deleted folders (sans contents) back to the phone. I have recreated a new Samsung Account as well as a new Google (gmail) account and cannot get any joy except for making and receiving calls and SMS. Apps will not install. FB; WhatsApp; Google Play, etc . . . And, lastly, I cannot find the contacts folder to restore that. I'm now in the dwang! Please help me ;-( PeterG Cape Town, South Africa

Hi, my mom had a Galaxy S3 mini on verizon for about a year and a half then it started rebooting and freezing at the verizon screen at complete random. At first it was every once in a while but it progressively got worse over time. She has sense changed to a Galaxy S4 on verizon and i am attempting to troubleshoot what is wrong with the S3 mini. I have already tried a factory reset on the device and even that gave me trouble as when i pressed factory reset it sat on rebooting for quite a while. eventually it did reset but it did not Fix the issue.

My phone shuts off after using it for a few minutes won't turn back on without the charger. It can only be used constantly when charged. If it is used without the charger it will turn off after a short while but the battery will appear to be more than 50% charged.

Update: does not turn on at all, not even with a charger.

Replaced battery with a relatively new one from another phone (3 weeks) still doesn't turn on.

It had been reporting to be running out of storage for a while before it wouldn't turn on anymore would that have anything to do with it?

I would be most grateful for help.I'm desperate and I can't find any forum with this exact problem.

My phone has failed to turn on or charge for a long time now, it looks ok, it has light white marks inside the back cover which may be water marks. The battery may be knackered, I'm not sure.

My Galaxy S3 Mini that my dad gave me yesterday after upgrading doesn't last more than two hours. It has been running strong for almost three years and now once it's factory reset it just went "fu©k this sh¡t" and started draining quickly. It charges relatively fast but can't stand consistent plugging. Please help!
