Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus: Cracked the front glass, any suggestions for repair?

The front glass of my S8+ is currently cracked on the bottom of the screen and I want to try and find an easy/simple fix since all functions of the phone are fine. I got an estimate to repair it for $329 dollars, but I don't want to pay that much obviously if I can do it cheaper myself. I see a guide for the regular S8, is that same? Also if I put electrical tape over the crack will that suffice for a while since that part of the screen is non-touch sensitive anyway? Thanks for any suggestions. Also where could one buy replacement glass?

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus: Broken back glass panel

So i broke my rear glass panel on my 4 day old s8+. Turns out these phones are so slick that they slip right out of your pocket. Mine hit a tiled floor on the edge, and the lower right corner of my screen cracked. all this while my case is coming in the mail...

Anyway, because its only a small section which is going to be covered by a case eventually anyway, i was looking to repair it with some kind of resin, like the windscreen glass repairers use for chips. i think this should stop further crack propagation and hopefully also reseal the phone keeping it water proof.

Or i will replace the back glass completely either myself, or through my insurance. I want to see the cost difference and difficulty first.

There are no guides yet so could someone look at this? there will be alot of cracked front and back screens because this phone is so slippery.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus: Will not charge or turn on.

Went to bed and power was at 7%. Did not plug in charger. When I got up the next morning, phone would not turn on. Plugged in the charger, still did not turn on. Left it on the charger for one day, still did not turn on. Changed chargers and cords three times and tried wireless charging, you got it, still did not turn on.

In all situations the charging light never turned on, the charger never got warm, and the phone never got warm. However, when the phone is plugged into the charger and I do a soft boot, barely visible bars flash intermittently on the bottom half the phone screen.

An online search indicates this is not an uncommon problem and frequency is increasing. Verizon will honor the warranty because there is a small crack on the left side of the screen. This is been there for five months without causing any problems.

My thinking on possible problems:

Battery needs to be replaced;

Charging hardware Is defective.

Charging firmware or software is crap.

I am wide open to suggestions and troubleshooting. If nothing brings my phone back to life, is it possible to recover the data?

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus: Galaxy S8 Plus -- no Image, blank screen, even with new screens

So I just tried two different, brand-new OEM screens in this repair for a Galaxy S8 Plus but neither one is showing anything on the screen when the phone turns on (and it's definitely turning on). When it came in there was no image on the screen but the screen was cracked so that's fairly normal for Galaxies; however, two brand-new OEM screens not showing an image is rather bizarre. Since the S8s are having "black screens of death" issues, I'm starting to think that there may be a big issue with them, the GPU or some other display-related motherboard component (like the backlight IC on iPhones, but whatever the equivalent for AMOLEDs would be.) Don't know if there have been all that many S8+ repairs out there but I'd like to know if this has happened to anyone or if anyone has any suggestions.

Even though I had already been able to disconnect the battery, I tried to force restart and boot into safe mode. Still nothing on the screen

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus: Why does my Galaxy S8 Plus randomly shut off?

So this started a long time ago but it was very rare so it never really bothered me. but it has become a problem because it does it almost every day, sometimes multiple times. So out of nowhere it will just shut off. and i am able to turn it back on but as soon as it gets to the lockscreen it shuts right back off. i can keep turning it on as many times as i want but it takes several times for it to get to where it will stay on. or i can leave it alone for about five minutes or so and turn it on and it will stay on. it only does it when im using it, it wont do it on its own while its sitting on a table. it does this no matter what the charge percentage is at but if i plug it into its charger after it shuts off,it will act as if it died and it will show a battery with a lightning bolt in it indicating that it needs to be charged to be turned back on. but its not actually dead. please help!this ssue has plagued me for so long and its continually getting worse. i am considering buying a battery replacement kit from this website because i dont know what else to do. the only thing i can think of that might have anything to do with it is that i have been using a micro usb cable with the usb-c adapter to charge it every night but im pretty sure this problem started before i was doing that.

Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus: Fast charging not working properly

Hi!

A week ago, I received my galaxy s8+ as a pre-order. The phone worked properly, until it didn't charge fast anymore... everytime I plug in my charging cable (the same cable and adapter that came with the phone) a pop-up appears saying that it can only charge slow and I had to be sure that the charger was plugged in properly. I then tried cleaning the port with a thin plastic stick. This worked for about an hour, whereafter it stopped working. Until now, it still takes 6 hours for a full charge..
