I bought a new Galaxy S7 to my son for the brithday present, I set a screen lock on the phone when testing the phone on the store, but I have lost my password, and my son can not use the new phone without password. How can I remove the password and enter the phone? Anyone who can help please?

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: Flickering screen after a drop...

I've got a friend who dropped her S7 edge. The glass hasn't broken, but the screen flickers/flashes, to the point where it's hard to look at and almost impossible to use. Given the cost of new LCD units, replacing that isn't looking a likely option. I've taken the back off and disconnected everything in the (admittedly very slim) hope that it could have been a slight loose connection from the drop. When I connected everything back up and turned it on it was still flickering to start with, but after a while it returned to normal. This lasted about 20mins before the flickering started again.

I'm guessing the display was damaged when she dropped it and it's not repairable, but thought I'd ask here if anyone has any ideas what might be wrong, and if it can be fixed, before she goes shopping for a new phone??

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: No service after screen replacement?

I work in a repair shop. I just did a screen replacement on the s7 edge. After getting everything back together and turned on, there is a circle with a line through it where the signal bars are supposed to be. I did damage the coax cable and gave tried numerous other cables. I have taken it all apart multiple times and triple checked my work but to no prevail. Any help will be highly appreciated.

Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: How to Diagnose Possible Dead Motherboard

Hello all,

I'm currently facing an issue with my phone and have done numerous troubleshoots to try to diagnose the issue. Long story short, my phone suddenly died on me one day at 50% battery life and would not turn back on; couldn't boot into Recovery, Download, etc; absolutely no response. I looked at xda threads with this issue like this one: https://forum.xda-developers.com/s7-...t... and followed their recommendation to let the battery completely drain over a few days, recharge to full capacity, and attempt to boot again. I was able to boot into download mode and flash a clean build with stock rom. All looked good but when I tried to boot back into System, the phone crashed immediately after the Samsung logo and got the blue notification light of death. Once again, no response so I let the battery deplete overnight, getting rid of the blue light, and recharging my phone to full capacity.

Unfortunately, since then I have not been able to boot the phone again at all. I finally decided to take the arduous task of opening the phone and replacing the battery, which had no effect either. So from my conclusion, I'm assuming my motherboard may be dead. Does anyone have any tips on how to diagnose where the issue may be on the motherboard? I know I can purchase a replacement motherboard but I want to use this as a learning experience and possibly save $100. Any relevant help is appreciated. Thank you!

Hello!

I got a pretty strange problem with my s7 edge for few days:

I am unable to charge it using my fast charger, because it can't be detected. I can charge it using an external battery though, which i charge with the same charger.

Any ideas about my issue?

P.S: my cable is a bit damaged but i think this might not be the problem as long as it does function on my external battery, right?

In my new Samsung Galaxy s7 edge I put by mistake the pin for the hole of the storage of the SIM card instead of there to the hole of the microphone who is near .

Do you believe I have damaged the microphone ? How can I realize it ?

Anybody could commend about the waterproof situation after that action mentioned above ?

Recently my S7 edge rebooted , us you all know ,with samsung you have to put the password to unlock the screen . But weirdly when I put my finger in the password area , the keyboard doesnt show up . Moreover the mobile keep rebooting and heating until loss of all battery epower .

Why can i go on the internet and check Facebook, sports, ect, but I can not receive or make calls or text message but can call thru Facebook. I have no problem at home but if i go on a trip it often becomes like that and the person next to me with the same plan can still do everything?

Dear friends,

I got a custommer, bought a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

Dropped the phone.

A company replaced the screen and told the battery was swollen up.

Another company tried to fix it, didn't work out.

I replaced the battery, phone works but like after 10 sec the phone gives a overheating alert but the battery is cold to the touch.

I have no idea how this can happen and I want to fix this.

Please help me I don't have any knowledge about Samsungs.
