hey guys.

Samsung Galaxy S7: Galaxy S7 dead after battery replacement - no signs of life with new or old battery

I recently replaced the battery in my Samsung Galaxy S7 with a new one from iFixit. After installation, the phone is completely dead—no screen, no LEDs, and no vibrations.

Here is what I have tried so far:

1. Re-seated the battery connector multiple times (it felt like it clicked in).

2. Tried Wireless PowerShare from another phone; the host phone says 'charging,' but the S7 shows no signs of life.

3. Attempted a force restart (Power + Volume Down) while on a charger.

4. Verified that the wireless charging coil assembly is screwed down correctly.

5. Reinstalled the old battery, but the phone still won't turn on.

I haven't been able to check if it's recognized by a PC yet, but it's otherwise unresponsive. Are there any common components that get damaged during this repair, or specific motherboard contacts I should check?

Samsung Galaxy S7: Several S7 died completely

So i bought 6 s7 for cheap and most of them had good screens when inspecting. I also had one that was freezing when heating up so i have 7 in total. So i charged one that was in the best condition and got stuck on charging logo and after force restarting got serious artifacts on the motherboard. Opened the phone, screen still works. Removed wireless coil, speaker, antenna. Still ok. After switching to a working motherboard screen stops working. I tried everything but got no result. Same thing with every phone. When charging they slightly heat up after 10 - 15 min. So how can i make atleast 1 working phone? please help

Samsung Galaxy S7: Phone stuck at boot screen logo after having 99% disk space usage

Hello

My phone gave a warning about 99% disk space (or maybe 97%). Well I think I deleted some files but I woke up to find it wouldn't boot past the boot screen logo. Maybe an app I was using added files to my phone.

Is there a way for me to delete some excess files from my phone, even though I can't reach the desktop or password screen? I use a numerical PIN number to unlock my phone.

Also is there any windows software which'll be useful for this?

Samsung Galaxy S7: SIM tray won't go in all the way

I’m trying to push the SIM card tray back into this device when empty and it doesn’t quite fit all the way inside the device. It gets about as far as the picture here:

…and won’t go further. I’ve pushed and pushed on this delicate piece of plastic as much as I dare, but the top won’t go flush with the rest of the body. If I apply enough pressure, I can seem to push the end with the hole for the button down, but the other end (top of the photo) won’t go further down.

I’m inserting this tray empty, so I know there’s nothing stuck inside the device, but then I compared the “spearpoint” of the device to the end of the broken SIM tray that came with the phone and I found an irregularity highlighted in red here (this is the best picture I could manage):

Both trays have a sort of slope at the corner, and the new one’s slope is noticeably different from the one in the old tray. I’m not sure if that’s the cause of the problem here, but I wanted to mention it anyway.

Has anybody else experienced this issue or know of a possible solution? I’m kinda bummed because the SIM tray came from iFixit (I still have the packaging in case I need to return this) and I don’t know if I’m installing wrong or these trays are generally troublesome.

Samsung Galaxy S7: Why can I not place calls?

My Samsung Galaxy S7 recently stopped being able to place calls. I can still recieve calls, send and recieve messages and use data. The only this that is not working is outgoing calls. When I attempt to make a call the phone says "dialing" and the after a few seconds, it says call ended and hangs up without ever connecting the call.

If restart my phone in safe-mode and clear the cache, I can make one call successfully but then it stops working again.

I would guess that the problem would be resolved by factory resetting my device, but Iam still holding out hope that it wont come to that.

Thanks.

Samsung Galaxy S7: Samsung S7 Won't Turn On

About 4 weeks ago, I was looking through instagram stories. As I swiped to the right to go to the next story, the screen froze. I figured the app crashed so I hit the home button, the active app view, nothing changed. I held on the power, home, volume buttons in different combinations until the phone shutoff. I was unable to get the phone to turn back on. A day later, I plugged the phone into its charger and the charging screen showed. I let the phone charge overnight. When I went to turn on the phone, the boot screen appeared, but the screen just went black. I have looked online and tried the pwr+vol down, pwr + vol up, pwr+ home, pwr + home + vol up and down. Some of the combinations got the boot screen, but it just kept on looping until it went black.

To this day, I have been unable to get the phone to startup.

If anybody knows how to fix this problem, please let me know. I only had this phone for 2 years and could not believe that this thing would die so soon.
