Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini: Contacts for wireless charging?

Hi,

can anyone tell with certainty whether the two pins in the upper left battery corner (just above the microSD slot) are intended for wireless charging? They seem a little too close to each other. Allegedly, Samsung support stated they indeed are meant for QI charging, others claim it would only be for the S-view cover. Germanys Samsung support refuses to tell me anything about the purpose of these contacts. Testing with a multimeter reveals that at least one of them has electrical contact to the battery.

So, if they really are intended for wireless charging and Samsung dropped wireless charging for the S5 mini, it should be possible make it charge wirelessly with an appropriate coil and some copper foil to match the contacts. Otherwise, if this would be possible, I guess there already would be some chinese manufacterers selling pre-build receivers which do match the contacts.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini: Phone won't turn on, no matter what.

I was browsing the web on my 1 month old phone when all of a sudden it turned off and I was faced with a black screen. It had 84% battery at the time and I did not accidentally hold down the power button so I found this strange. I took the battery out and tried to turn it on again but it didn't work. I left it alone over-night and tried again in the morning but it didn't work. I tested the battery and turns out that it was in working order.Then. I tried the hold volume up, home, and power button waiting for a vibration, didn't work. There is absolutely no sign of life... no light, no sound, no motion. I'm heart-broken...

Also, it did not have any water damage or experience any severe drops. There is a slight possibility that sand may of entered it. Otherwise, I have no idea why this happened or how to fix it. T^T

- Phone starts up

- Welcome sound

- Is recognized and reachable via USB connected to PC

However the screen does not function correctly. It is like static on an old TV set. (See picture) I tried several times to gently press on the screen connector and such but no difference. Any ideas ? Many thanks for your help !

Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini: My phone has power but sometimes only shows coloured lines flashing.

I dropped my phone and the screen went black. When it came back on it showed coloured lines flashing. After 2 days of not working it came back to working but that afternoon I lost it again to the coloured lines and sometimes black screen. The blue light at the top can still flash so I know it's getting power but can it be fixed or does it sound like a big issue and should I get a new one?

Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini: New battery won't charge to 100%

The battery on our S5 mini was bulging and was discharging faster so we purchased a new one. When we put it in the phone it was at 50%. Charged it all night only charged to 74%. Next night turned phone off and did the same thing. We contacted the seller and they sent us a new battery and it is doing the same thing. The old battery still charges to 100 %. Could both batteries be bad or is something wrong with the phone.
