Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini: sch-i435 upgrade from 4.4.2 to 5.0

I have a SCH-I435 I am no longer with Verizon and have not received any updates since Nov. 2014 . I have heard there is a upgrade from 4.4.2 into a 5.0 . I'm not very up to date on all the different terms. Can someone please give me step by step instructions . Also my phone has been rooted.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini: Phone not starting anymore

My Samsung S4 mini doesn't start anymore. I put it on charge last night, and it was dead this morning. Holding down multiple buttons doesn't give me any repsond, not even vibrating. But when I plug it into my computer i can see a RELINK HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM6). If I can't fix the phone, I would at least like to try to save the data. Also, are there any other phones which use the same battery? That would make it easier to get hold of a battery to test if that's the problem.

I replaced the screen and digitizer on the phone and everything worked after i put it back together like the wifi and screen was good but it doesnt detect the sim card anymore. What are possible reasons for this happening and how can i fix it?

I was texting a friend when the screen suddenly went black. I let the phone be alone for a while and when i tried turning it on nothing happened. I took the battery out for a bit and tried again, still nothing. I tried charging the phone too but nothing is happening. This happened once before but the phone turned on when I took the battery out for a while and put the phone on a charger. Is there any way to fix this or do I need to buy a new battery or a phone?

Hi,

Two days ago my Samsung galaxy s4 mini (GT-i9195) stop working. Nothing respond: no recovery mode, no download mode and it connect as qhsusb_dload on my computer.

Next day I tried again and it kinda work. It's stuck in a bootloop. Logo appear 10s and reboot.

I can't access recovery mode but I've access to download mode.

I've tried to flash the firmware with odin but that didn't work since it didn't go to recovery mode at the end.

I know little in informatics.

Do you have any idea?

I've tried everything and nothing seems to work. I haven't dropped it or got it wet or anything. I held the buttons like suggested, I whacked the power button like suggested, I have a new battery it didn't work, I removed my SD card like some people said to try as well nothing is working!

I screwed my SIM card slot by trying to inset a micro sim. Now no SIM card is recognized anymore.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Is it even possible?

Or is the SIM card reader fixed and not replaceable?

I appreciate every idea. Especially now that I am running lollipop, I really want my s4 mini back!

I dropped my s4 for the 2nd time in 5 years. Back cover pops off battery went flying. Dropped from 3'.phone will not power up/charge at all. Replaced LCD screen, charge port even bought used working s4 and swapped my mother board (all simple plug and play) still nothing. It's a much harder fix. I looked at board under microscope it looks very clean. I need the data on the chip recovered it is almost a life or death situation. Seriously! I need to recover voice messages , recordings of conversations and texts. I had no back up so no simple chance of recovery. My bad. I need the best of the best to either fix my phone or recover all data including in order of importance text messages, phone conversation recordings , voice mails and pictures. I need someone highly skilled in circuit board troubleshooting and repair or recovery of data from memory on board. I cannot express the urgency and importance of this job. Anyone with the skill set in the USA that can help please contact me asap @ lytemup65@msn.com to discuss costs if this is possible.I have a deadline of July 1st but if can be done sooner the better. Located on West Coast any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

One day, i was playing a game on my S4 mini and suddenly my phone's display colours changed. Now there are two strips on my screen- one is grey and the other is white!! it is showing negative colours(even when negative option in my phone is switched off)........I just want to ask that if it can repaired for free as it is in warranty or i have to pay for it assuming if my LCD is damaged? (My phone is working fine..i can answer call and i can see display also but its colour has been changed.)

Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini: Why can I get no network access

Hi, having just repaired an s4 mini, which is locked to EE, I've put my normal EE sim card in the phone, but get no network access at all. When the sim is in my other Samsung, there is a good signal. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem could be? I can save contacts to the sim card, so I think the sim reader is ok. Could it be an antenna? or is there another part that could be at fault.
