Samsung Galaxy S4: My phone wont turn on anymore even with fully charged battery

I charged my phone last night and left it charging until morning. When I went to turn my phone on it usually vibrates before the screen pops up but this time it did nothing, I put in a new fully charged battery in my phone and it still doesnt turn on. It has never touched water and has no cracks at all.

Samsung Galaxy S4: Phone is charging without displaying charging icon.

I had my phone working perfectly fine until last night when my battery was nearly 1-2%. It turned off (obviously). But when I reached home and plugged the USB Cable, it only displayed a Gray battery icon with a static ring on it, and that vanished after a few seconds. I gave it sometime (half an hour) to charge. But it still displayed me the same icon.

I used my friend's S4 battery, the phone turned on perfectly. So I was sure that the phone is not dead, but the battery might have died.

I inserted my battery in my friend's S4, plugged the USB cable, and it started charging normally. This confirmed that the battery is perfectly fine. The charging port might be damaged somehow.

But I noticed something very unusual. After getting my battery 30% charged using my friend's S4, I took my battery back and inserted it back into my phone, turned it on, and plugged the charger. It didn't show me the charging icon. This led me to a conclusion that my phone's charging port is damaged. But after half an hour, I looked at my phone, and now it was 60% charged!

The sudden bump on left is my friend's battery being replaced by mine.

So now, I'm charging my phone without the charging icon. But I'm not sure if the hardware has issues or software.

Btw, even my computer doesn't detect any device when I connect it using the cable. Not even an "unrecognized device".

Any help?

Phone stopped functioning seemingly for no reason about 7 years ago.

When plugged into power, the processor gets extremely hot over time and does not turn on no matter what.

I’ve tried a new battery and charging board, none of which worked.

It showed the charging icon for a split second a few months ago, and never showed anything again.

I recently noticed white powder (corrosion/liquid damage?) on the cpu side of the motherboard, and the phone still does not function after a full clean.

Hi, whenever I try to scan my new NFC tags that my sis got me from eBay with my S4, it says "This tag is not supported" on 3 different NFC writer apps! I even tried to scan one outside of any app with the same result! Help?

So I've seen this problem on a few forums. The phone works fine unless you make a call. When you do, the mic and the speakers will not work. They function with any other application in the phone. The suggested fixes are firmware update (some claim this has worked) and the other is a reflow of the chip that handles the incoming calls(?). I know by the teardown which chip handles the sound on the board, but if anyone has encountered and fixed this issue before, could you give a brother a hand on where to aim the heat?

Samsung Galaxy S4: Why is my Phone struck in S-View mode without using S-View Cover?

My phone is 2 yr old Samsung Galaxy S4

It started going into S-View mode intermittently even though I was not using S-View cover.

Now it has struck in the S-View screen. Whole screen is black with a Clock and call notifications. I am not able to access anything else

I have done Hard reset to wipe out all the data and restart the phone. It didn't work

I have also removed a metal Screw near L1 as suggested in another forum (This worked for a while), but again its reverted back to S-View mode.

Kindly suggest me a fix to this problem.

My galaxy s4 has been dead for a while now. It doesn’t turn on at all, and it gets hot near the cpu area when I leave it on the charger. I’ve tried a genuine and replacement battery. I once saw it show a charging screen for a split second before turning off, but that’s about all the life it ever showed.

After going to a store to get my phone screen fixed at a store , I tried to charge it at my house but it didn't . I had tried to use different cables, sources such as a portable charger, laptop and wall adapter. And I had tried to see if they would also work on a another phone( s3 mini) They didn't work on my s4 but it did charge the s3 mini.

What do you think possibly happened? Please respond asap because I need answers. Thank you

I love listen to music through my earphones but the other day my music system started playing up and my music either plays funny through the earphones or the earphones dont connect to my devise unless held to a certain angle. So, my Galaxy S4 is totally unresponsive. It won't turn on or even charge.

The backstory:

The phone was working perfectly after a new battery. I tried resetting the phone using the volume-down-home-and-power-button method.

However, I read incorrectly and held all 4 buttons down (power, volume up, volume down and home).

Now the phone is just black; it won't turn back on or do anything. The only thing it does do is show up as a recognized device on my PC.

I have never connected it to the PC before, so Windows installed some form of driver. Whenever it's connected or disconnected from the computer, the PC makes the regular Windows sounds as if the phone is recognized—but nothing pops up.
