Samsung Galaxy S10e: S10e no power/charging after battery replacement - troubleshooting steps exhausted

I recently replaced the battery in my Samsung Galaxy S10e, but now the phone won't turn on or show any signs of charging (no LED, no charging icon).

I have already tried:

1. Forcing a restart (Power + Volume Down).

2. Leaving it on a known-good charger for over an hour.

3. Re-opening the phone to ensure the battery connector is securely clicked into place.

4. Ensuring the upper midframe and all 8 screws are fully installed (to engage the spring contacts).

5. Testing with a wireless charger (no response).

6. Checking the charging port for debris.

There was no visible damage to the motherboard or ribbon cables during the repair. What else could be causing this "no-life" symptom after a battery swap? could it be a DOA battery or something deeper on the motherboard?

Hey everyone,

I've had my Galaxy S10e (G970F) since release. Now, for the first time, the charger keeps disconnecting and reconnecting randomly. When I charge it while powered off, it shows a

Samsung Galaxy S10e: S10e microphone not working on calls

The microphone is not working when I do a call with it.

If during the call I use the speaker option, or connect a headset with microphone, it works with no problem.

If I try to record anything with the record app, it works with no problem.

If I dial *#0283# both works, if I hold the phone in call position, and talk, both microphones duplicate my voice, but the second one (top of phone) is actually stronger than the bottom one although is next to my voice.

I have tried using other voice apps, they sound similarly. Curiously, calls through whatsapp do not suffer this problem, only via phone.

Could be a cleaning issue? Could be a noise cancellation issue? A software issue? Is there any way to fix this via software or hardware other than using speaker/headset in all calls?

Samsung Galaxy S10e: S10E Will Not Boot After Battery Replacement

TLDR:

I verified that my device's battery, screen, vibrator, and power button are functional. However, my phone is currently off and is unresponsive to all inputs (power button, charging, volume down + bixby + cable connected to laptop). If I freeze the device, it will boot for a few seconds before shutting off again.

Long Post:

<ins>Context:</ins> My device is just over 6 years old. I was watching a video on it when it abruptly froze and entered a boot loop. When the boot loop concluded, the phone remained off and unresponsive to the power button.

<ins>Research:
</ins>I found out from a couple Reddit threads that the issue could be with either the battery or the motherboard. A commenter suggested freezing the phone and seeing if it will boot. I attempted as such and to my surprise, the phone came back for ~50 minutes before crashing and reentering the boot loop.

<ins>What I attempted:</ins>

This finding indicated that the issue is with the battery. I ordered the S10E battery replacement kit from iFixIt and performed the replacement. I verified that the new battery was charged (4.095V). Unfortunately, my phone still did not turn on after installation. Of note, the old battery was in fact bad; I measured its voltage at 2.5V.

I attempted to freeze the device as a last resort, and to my surprise (seriously, why does freezing enable a boot?), the device booted into recovery mode. I then was able to select the "Reboot Device" option and waited for my phone to boot. My phone made it to my lock screen but immediately shutdown again and became unresponsive. A positive take away is that I proved that the power button and display were not damaged during the battery replacement process.

I read in another iFixIt thread that I may need to reconnect the old battery and then reconnect the new one after it. As strange as this seems to me, I attempted it to no avail.

<ins>Observations:</ins>

The device draws 500mA when plugged into a charger. When the new battery was installed, the device's motherboard did noticeably heat up. Attempts to turn the device on would again result in the motherboard heating up. I cannot replicate this after I froze the phone.

Plugging in the device does not result in the expected vibration coupled with the battery charging graphic. The vibrator was responsive when the phone booted after it was frozen.

<ins>My Request:</ins>

I am now out of my depth and would greatly appreciate assistance. I want to preserve my S10E for as long as possible. It is perfect for my needs and there are no modern options that provide the qualities I like about it (compact, SD card, headphone jack etc.)

Thank you in advance.

Samsung Galaxy S10e: Person on other end of phone call can't hear me

Recently my phone seems to decide randomly that some numbers won't be able to hear me when I call them or they call me. This has been happening for only about a month now. This doesn't affect everyone, and it doesn't affect the same number every day. Today one of the numbers is for my vet's office which I was able to call no problem a few weeks ago. I've also called and had phone conversations with other people today without any issue. A few weeks ago it happened to the phone number for a company I was having a phone interview with despite working fine with a coworker’s number a few hours earlier. It will also occasionally hang up when someone picks up my call.

My phone is up to date, I have cleaned out my history (calling, browser, and voicemail), have not downloaded any new apps (I actually went through and deleted several ones I don't use anymore), have all my apps up to date, have not changed locations at all when calling these numbers, and confirmed that my mic does work. My phone hasn't taken any damage (water or physical) nor have I changed anything with my service recently. Apart from these issues with calling people my phone is working perfectly.

Please help! I am extremely frustrated and this is preventing me from being able to do things like pay vet bills.
