Samsung Galaxy S10: Why is the bottom of my screen white?

The bottom 4th of my screen is white. It covers the entire keyboard, but everything still works like normal. Also, it is very hard to get the phone to wake up. When i press the power button, the bottom fourth of the screen flickers and it doesn’t turn on. As I said before, touches still register and even the fingerprint scanner still works, it’s just that I can’t see the bottom fourth. All I want to know is what I need to replaced to get this issue fixed. This is an international phone.

Thank You for any suggestions or answers.

This is what the phone looks like, as you can see there are a few dead pixels on the right, but I’m not too worried about them.

Samsung Galaxy S10: Screen stopped working after battery replacement

So I just replaced the battery in my Samsung Galaxy S10. After installing the new battery and the charging coil, I turned the phone on to confirm it still worked. Everything looked good, I unlocked the phone, made sure the touchscreen worked fine, and turned it back off. Then I glued the backplate back on.

I set the phone down with books for an hour to dry like the instructions said, then when I go to turn it on , the screen never turns on. It buzzes, and I get notifications, but the screen is just completely black.

Any ideas?

Samsung Galaxy S10: Samsung S10 Screen Replacement Foam Adhesive Removal?

Hi all n.n,

So, in the guide to repair the screen for the Samsung Galaxy S10 (Samsung Galaxy S10 Screen Replacement), please take a look at the first image in Step 24.

See that foam adhesive? Am I supposed to remove it from the main frame, or place the new adhesive on top of it? I ask because this new adhesive is not foam-like, and if I do remove that foam adhesive and use this new one alone, will the screen even sit into place correctly without the bulk from the foam?

I thank God for your help with my question! n.n

Samsung Galaxy S10: I can't get the glass back cover off using the iOpener and suction cup

Hello, I am following the instructions to replace the battery in a Galaxy S10 phone: Samsung Galaxy S10 Battery Replacement

I purchased the iFixit repair kit. I am stuck on step 2. After I lay a heated iOpener on the right side of the back cover of the phone, I try to pry up with the suction cup. It's supposed to create a small gap on the right edge where I can slide a pry tool and loosen the adhesive. However the back cover does not budge at all. would you be able to tell what I am doing wrong?

I suspect a few things. First of all, I'm not sure if I'm using the suction cup correctly. If I pull extremely hard, the suction cup pops off. However I can still pull with decent pressure before that happens.

I'm not sure about the correct technique. I have been using my left hand to push down the left side of the back cover while prying up on the right side with the suction cup. Theoretically I am flexing the back cover, and that is correct right?

Another possible issue is the back cover doesn't seem to get very hot from the iOpener. Honestly not even as hot as some previous phones I own when they were running heavy games. However the iopener feels fairly hot, only if I squeeze it a little, and I had to microwave for way longer than the 30 seconds in the instructions. I laid a book on top of the iopener and phone, which didn't make the phone very hot.

One last possibility is the previous owner of this phone had repaired it, and used very strong glue to seal the back cover. The back cover has a few blemishes.

Thanks for your time!

Samsung Galaxy S10: device charges very slowly with third-party cables

My S10 charges very slowly with third-party cables, it happened suddenly 2 days ago and now my phone takes 5 hours to charge completely, I can use the fast charging only with well fitting cables like my mothers official xiaomi cable (it makes a click sound and is very sturdy). Is there a way to fix this? I know the 3rd party cable is good enough because it works perfectly on my father's s10

PS: if it can help, my battery is equivalent to 2500 mah after years of use (according to accubattery)

Samsung Galaxy S10: Why does my replacement front camera not work

I have a Samsung Galaxy S10 model "SM-G973F." I had moisture get into the front camera and it fogged up, but it still works. I took the phone apart, and replaced the front camera with a front camera I bought from iFixit. Whenever I launch the front camera in the camera app I get the notification, "Camera Failed."

At first I thought maybe I got a bad camera, and replaced it through the warranty and even the second one I got has the same error.

I've tried resetting the camera apps cache, as well as the camera apps data. I've also tried booting into safe mode. I've cleared the system cache. As well as finally resorting to resetting the phone to factory settings.

All of this didn't work and I continue to get the same error.

Whenever I put the old foggy camera back in it works, but any replacement camera doesn't. I've never had this sort of issue with a repair so I was wondering if there is something I'm missing.

Thank you in advance for any help! :)
