Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0: Nothing on Screen except colored, horizontal lines

To my knowledge, my tablet hasn't been dropped in the last week. I had my tablet in it's case, in a bag. I haven't used in a week but it was still on after taking a picture with it. I go to turn it on and most of the background is white with all different colored lines on it. The top is black with one white line and many running lines shooting across the screen. It still vibrates for notifications and it made the chime noise when I turned it off and back on again.

Maybe it needs a reset? I cannot find out how to do it through a computer. I plugged it in my computer and can see the files.

I purchased this tablet almost 2 years ago, Summer of 2013. I paid 450 roughly and I am very upset this has happened. Any help will be greatly appreciated. If I can fix it myself I would rather, because if take it to best buy they may only have a solution that costs lots of money.

Thank you so much!

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0: Device does not power on when connected to charger

Hi there,

My Samsung Note 8.0 tablet (Model: SGH-1467) is unable to power on when connected to the charger. Last time I used this device I left it on the charger for too long and it wouldn't start up after unplugging it. This was several years ago.

I am trying to power it up now so I can clean it and possibly resell the device. Just reconnected it to the charger and nothing is happening. I opened up the device from the back and there is no damage showing from what my amateur eyes can see.

What are possible solutions or things I can try to get the device to power on again? What are possible problems going on?

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0: Tablet stuck in recovery mode

My tablet was entirely unresponsive before this happened, and despite protection from rain within a backpack it was rendered incapable of functioning. Even more baffling was that I used a case that was supposed to be waterproof.

Anyways, back to the current situation. So now I took the battery out from the note and put it back in, and it seems that it has recollected some semblance of a working tablet. Turned it on, and I get sent to the recovery mode screen. Just as my hopes were rising, somehow the tablet's volume and power buttons (used to navigate the menu within the mode) weren't working, making my efforts meaningless.

Help would be appreciated if anyone knows how to fix this problem.

Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0: 1/3 of screen is black- is it possible to fix that?

Hi,

Recently a heavy object landed on my tablet (samsung galaxy Note 8.0) and the result was that about 1/3 of the display in the middle went black. The whole screen is still touch responsive - the black part also detects touch.

My findings:

The black part is not dead. It still has some brightness.

In the dead part contains some red pixels that are very hardly visible.

I have opened the back of the tablet and tried to reconect some connectors (red circles on the second picture) but nothing changed.

Is there any way to fix this bold black line on the display?
