Samsung Galaxy Note10 Plus 5G: Screen 1/3 normal then other 2/3 is darker. Fix?

I am wondering what could cause my note's screen to have 1/3 of the screen at proper color, but the 2/3 is slightly darker. Can I fix such an issue without replacing the screen and battery? I was quoted by a repair service $300 ish for replacing the screen and battery to fix it, so trying to decide if to just upgrade to a new phone or try to DIY if I can fix it.

Samsung Galaxy Note10 Plus 5G: Minor Screen Damage; Screen is Black, Flashes Orange & Yellow

My husband has a Note 10+ and dropped it at work recently. It was in an OtterBox and hit the corner of a metal chair before falling on the floor. There is a small busted area (smaller than a dime) on the left side of the screen. Speakers work fine. He can hear notifications. The screen is black and also flashes blocks of orange and yellow. If it weren’t for this problem, the minor damage to the screen wouldn’t affect use of the phone at all. Anyone have any idea what this damage could be and how to fix it? Thanks in advance!
