I can still turn it on because of the home button but it only turns off on time-out. Looking for a solution to this problem. Any help is appreciated.

Ok so i have a samusung galaxy j7 sm-j700t1 for metro pcs in the u.s. and I recently broke my screen and wanted to buy a repair kit. but all the repair kits say there compatible for the sm-j700f or 700 model or that there not compatible with the sm-j700m model. non mention anything about a sm-j700t1 model and I was wondering if these kits would still fit my galaxy j7, or are the models too different.

Samsung Galaxy J7: Not Connecting to Mobile Network

This past week my phone stopped connecting to the mobile network. Cannot make calls or text.

I tried factory reset and that allowed me to call/text over WiFi for the first 2-5 minutes. Then text/calls all of sudden don’t work.

Have tried a few things but would welcome any feedback.

One thing I did do recently was had the screen replaced. However, calls/texts were working after the fix (and mobile network was connecting). Only last night did the phone permanently not connect to the mobile network. It was going in and out throughout the day and eventually no longer connected.

Samsung Galaxy J7: Which part of the phone has to do with SIM functionality?

I dropped my phone in soup (I'm not looking for help with water damage, I already took care of it), but mobile data is not working and I'm not sure if it's the phone or the card. Can someone point me to the area of the phone that has to do with SIM function or should I just give up?

Edit: I got some images from the teardown video (they're better than any I could take). I do need to make it clear that I'm very new to this and that I simply don't have most of the equipment that your suggestions would require. When I say that I'm not sure if it's the phone, I mean that I'm not sure if the moisture may have caused parts to malfunction. I was already thinking about ordering a new logic board and replacing it myself, as I already took it apart a few days ago and there didn't look to be any signs of corrosion, but I could always be wrong. I'm currently acquiring a SIM card from a friend to test if it's the card or the phone. It's looking like it might be the phone though, I put the SIM card into an old phone and the phone did detect the card and registered that it was from a different carrier, so If someone could point out which part of the logic board would have to do with SIM functionality so that I could check for anything that looks out of the ordinary, that would be very helpful!

Samsung Galaxy J7: Phone won't charge, but USB port is able to transfer data to PC

Hi! I have an old Samsung Galaxy J7. Since about three years I've been charging it only thru the USB cable connected to my PC, as I was sharing Wi-Fi to my PC which gave me more stable connections than my wireless adapters.

About 6 months ago my PC started having PSU problems. There would be rare and sudden PC restarts over the course of a few months. It was getting worse, so one day I decided to stop using the PC to avoid damaging other hardware. Next day I used the phone all day and connected it to a normal charger when I came home at night. It charged so slowly. Only about 10% in 8 hours. It got worse that same day, to the point it won't charge at all. The phone was connected to the PC when all those restarts happened – maybe the PSU damaged something on the phone? I was then unable to keep testing, as the battery drained completely.

I tried different chargers, cables, and outlets; tried cleaning the port; but nothing. The phone says it's charging once you connect a cable, but it doesn't. Recently I bought a universal charger to charge the battery, since it's removable. The battery charges very slow on it, like 12 hours to reach 100%, but the phone works nice and the battery drains normally. I connect the phone to the PC (I have a brand-new PSU now) thru the USB port and it is able to transfer data! But it still won't charge at all. Zero. It will in fact keep draining normally, even with normal chargers. Any ideas?
