Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge: Why is my screen/display black and unresponsive

My Samsung J3 Emerge SM-J327P has a few minor cracks on it, but the display is black and unresponsive. I can hear it vibrate when i power it on and when the phone is finished booting up i can hear my notifications and other noises, but the screen is completely black. Sometimes the phone will get stuck in a boot loop and wont turn on fully.
